UTP Students: Karen and Mateo #UTPNews

Karen’s activities
She is Karen Navarrete and she is 21 years old.
She is a University student. She always does
the same activities in her routine, but someti-
mes this routine changes.
Today is Saturday. Karen goes to the gym
every saturday, but today she doesn’t want to
go. Why?

She is going to the beach with her friends now

and she is driving to buy some food and drinks
for this trip. She usually does exercises with
her sister, but not today. On Saturdays and
Sundays, Karen often stays home and organi-
zes her activities for the week, but today is
different. She is having a great time with her
friends at the moment.

Mateo’s activities
He is Mateo Barrantes. He is a University student. He studies at UTP near his house.
Now he is in Aspen, Colorado and he is spending time with his family.

His father is a farmer. His name is William. He usually works eight hours a day, but today
he is on vacation. He is having Ski lessons at the moment and his mother is preparing a
delicious hot chocolate now.

His parents always wear sandals

and fresh clothes. Because the
weather in Peru is warm, but in
this country is different. It is
snowing at the moment.

His brother is working now. He

doesn’t like cold weather, so he
is in Peru.
Mateo also has a baby sister. She
often cries but she isn’t crying
now. She looks relaxed. His
family is relaxing at the moment.
