FAS Officer and Advisory Board Meeting Minutes

March 22,2011 at Georgetown Library, Fort Wayne, Indiana

Present at this Meeting: John Acierto, Larry Sanderlin, Roela Hilker, David Truelove, Marie
Mendoza,Leslie Buenconsejo, Dave Simmons.

A) SPRING PICNIC
>location Franke Park Open Pavillion/Shelter #2, time from 12-3 pm
>FAS Officers and Board members should be at the place at 11 am for preparation
>FAS Officers and Board members to bring a bag or two of candy or chocolate
> John and Larry to visit the place and to find the nearest restroom
>Marie to call and check Fort Wayne parks and recreation for the water and electric
>Agnes will be calling for donations for Easter Basket, possibly 3 to raffle
>Games will be set up by Marie
* Roela will buy candies for prizes
* Marie will buy toys for prizes
>FAS will provide paper plates, utensils, plenty of drinking cups, paper towels, trash bags, coolers,
ice, table cloth, raffle ticket, also bags of candies (John and Uncle Larry to look for the eggs
in the storage), drinks, water, lemonade (Marie)
> First aid kit to be donate by ate Roela
>Emil and Marie to place sign or placards for the location for the members to see
>Uncle Larry to send the Spring Picnic/Easter Egg hunt invitation to all members/friends this
weekend (John will email the invitation, Dave will provide the addresses)

B) John and Uncle Larry will do inventory of what's inside the FAS Storage

C) VALENTINE Event for next year,places to look at:

* Holiday INN across Memorial Coliseum
* Don Halls Guesthouse at Washington center rd
* Marriott at Coldwater and Washington center rd
(above 3 places will be check by Uncle Larry & Auntie Tess)
* Pine Valley- will be check by John Acierto
* Goeglein- will be check by Leslie
Results will be discuss on the next meeting, further suggestion for other place still open

D) THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS

>reservation already been made by John Godwin for the Franke Park Pavillion
> suggestion to look for a different place for bigger venue esp. during Christmas, suggestion is the
Tippman place located closer to Navistar, John Acierto to check the place and contact Tippman
group. Result will be discuss further on the next meeting

E) ADMINISTRATIVE
> Open meeting for FAS members should be done according to the by laws and Constitution of
FAS.
> Suggestion is to have 2 open meetings for all members, further discussion will be done on the
next meeting.

F) PLANNING COMMITTEE
> John Acierto to open the idea for nominees for chair committee at the Spring Picnic, chair
 committee should be an FAS current officer or previous officer.

The next meeting will be announced by the President soon so check your email.
