Congratulations!
I am glad to inform that you have been selected for admission/provisional admission to the
MBA Program in the Department of Industrial & Management Engineering (IME) at IIT
Kanpur beginning first semester of 2021-22.
Set up in 1974, the Department of IME at IIT Kanpur was one of the first in the country to
recognize the strength of combining the training of engineers with management. Today this
department is engaged in a diverse set of activities including Teaching, Industry Consultancy,
Management Development Programs, Academic Research and Public Sector Projects. The
department currently offers MBA, MTech and PhD programs.
The department offers a two-year fulltime MBA program. The program includes unique
techno-managerial interdisciplinary coursework and projects spread over four semesters. The
course work comprises of compulsory, specialization and elective courses along with
capstone project in the area of participant's interest. Specializations offered in MBA include
functional areas of Operations, Marketing, Finance, Information System, and Human
Resource Management. The graduates are now working in top Indian & International
organizations spread over many countries around the world.
To accept this offer, you are required to pay the fees by logging into the admission portal
(https://pingala.iitk.ac.in/MBADM-0/login) by June 13, 2021, failing which this offer of
admission will be withdrawn.
Please note that withdrawal from a program post the payment of fees is (only) possible on or
before July 25, 2021 during the office hours. A written withdrawal request must be submitted
to the undersigned. Registration fees will be refunded after the deduction of Rs. 1000/-
(processing fee). There will be no refund for withdrawal requests received after this deadline.
The date for your academic registration is tentatively July 28, 2021. This is subject to
change. Candidates would be notified of any changes.
You are required to upload the following documents at the document submission portal. The
link to the portal will be notified in due course at the official website of the Dean, Academic
Affairs.
Please note that this letter does not guarantee any financial assistantship. The notification
related to financial assistantship will be issued separately if you are found eligible and
suitable for the financial support.
