➢ Plan and coordinate the project from start to finish, including organising the schedule of
work, costings and budget.
➢ Plan the work and oversee the buying of necessary materials and equipment

➢ Manage the construction site on a day-to-day basis, including supervising the labour
force, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work and overseeing
quality control
➢ Ensure the project is delivered on time and on budget by setting benchmarks, agreeing
budgets and monitoring progress
➢ Check design documents with architects, surveyors and engineers
➢ Promote and maintain health and safety, including site inspections to ensure HSE rules
are being followed.
➢ Maintain regular communication and attend meetings with clients /CGGC and their
representatives to inform them of progress on the project.
➢ Communicate with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity
surveyors and others involved in the project.
➢ Deal and investigate with any unexpected problems that may occur during the project.
➢ The control of work and quality performance by means of checking the work before
consultants’ inspection and issuing RFIs & punch lists as necessary.
➢ Completion of documentation to verify the work performed.
➢ Controlling all inspection activities on-site in line with ITPs.
➢ Ensuring that all test equipment including surveying equipment is calibrated and is
suitable for use on-site.
2.5. Surveyor
➢ To establish benchmarks from agreed reference points, provide required setting out and
level markings and follow up with regular checks.
➢ Co-ordinate with the Project Engineer / Foreman and ensure the approved shop
drawings/construction drawings will be implemented properly.
➢ Maintain survey details and reports, periodically check the progressing works and advise
the project manager of any deviation from the drawings.
➢ Crosscheck with all the related works once the works completed. And to prepare reports
for the same.
➢ Monitor all HSE procedures and recommend strategies to avoid all accidents and
implement all health and safety hazards for all sites.
➢ Monitor all conservation and protection programs and maintain hygiene at facility at all
times and prepare required status reports.
➢ Manage communication strategies and prepare required newsletters and design and
implement an efficient site safety training programs and perform investigation to
eliminate all issues.
➢ Participate in all site safety committees and analyze all job hazard activities and ensure
compliance to all OSHA guidelines and perform audit on all activities.
3. METHODOLOGY
➢ Request for PTW (Permit To Work) will be submitted by CRCC and approved by
CGGC/Client prior to the commencement of the works.
➢ A site survey will be done to mark the location of columns and wall accurately with the
help of total station.
➢ Following sequence will be followed in erection of formwork for slab and columns.
➢ Starter bar areas will be cleaned thorowly to remove all the dust and loose particles.
➢ Alignment and verticality of the starter bars will be rectified inorder to make proper
installation of the vertical rebar cage.
➢ Vertical rebar along with stirrups will be assembled from outside and it will be erected as
cage by means of tower crane.
➢ Wire rope will be provided from both sides for the lateral stability of the installed rebar
cage.
➢ Cover blocks will be provided at every 1m interval both horizontally and vertically.
➢ All the lap length,cover spaces to be checked and verified prior to the formwork
installation.
➢ Floor survey demarcation of the wall to be made for the location of the formwork (if there
is no kicker)
➢ Kicker alignment to be checked and verified and resurvey to be conducted in order to
ensure kicker alignment.
➢ All the rebar cage system to be cleaned thorowly to remove all the loose particles and
dust.
➢ All the rebar to be tied using binding wire inorder to ensure structural integrity of the
rebar cage structure.
➢ All the cover blocks to be tied with rebar properly inorder to avoid cover block tilting
during formwork panel erection.
➢ Waterstopper tie rod sleeves(Cone type with PVC sleeves) to be provided to resist
lateral concrete pressure at every interval specified in the approved shop drawings.

➢ Gaps between tie rod sleeves and water stopper to be sealed with shuttering tape to
avoid concrete to stuck inside water stopper tie rod assembly.
➢ All the embeded installations(Plate,anchor bolts etc.)to be completed prior to the
formwork installation.
➢ Horizontal and vertical alignment to be checked and verified by means of horizontal line
dowry and vertical plump line.
➢ All the dimensions,sizes to be proprly checked prior to the final inspection and the
commencement of casting.
➢ All the tie rod to be tightened properly by means of tie rod plate and wing nuts.
➢ All the gaps to be filled with form sealant to avoid concrete seepage.

3.4. CASTING
➢ Method statement demonstration and safe working TBT to be provided to the work force
prior to the casting.
➢ Concrete pump location and movement to be pre designed to ensure continuity of the
concrete pouring and to avoid cold joints.
➢ All the deshuttering will commence only after site safety induction for the particular task.
➢ Deshuttering shall be done as per ACI 347 recommendations.
➢ Deshuttering for the horizontal structures like slab, beams etc. will commence getting the
complete strength to the RCC structure.
➢ Cubes Test reports will be submitted to client / CGGC prior to the deshuttering activity.
➢ Side face deshuttering or deshuttering for vertical members like column, shear wall will
commence 48 hours after pouring.
➢ For all horizontal members Backpropping will be immediately provided as per required
amount during deshuttering in order to prevent deflection of the slab,and the
backpropping will be removed only after the structure achieves complete strength.

7. EMERGENCY RESPONSE
In order to improve the ability to respond to any potential emergency situations and prevent
or mitigate associated adverse health, safety, environmental and security consequences,
CGGC (Main contractor) and CRCC(the subcontractor) establishes this procedure for UMM AL
QUWAIN INDEPENDENT WATER 150 MIGD PROJECT (hereinafter referred to as "Project "),
which will help all emergency personnel to learn situation of emergencies as soon as possible,
to know their roles and responsibilities, to control any emergency situation as soon as possible,
to restore normal operation of the site after treatment and finally to reduce losses to assets and
harm to people.
Each incident is a unique event; this Pprocedures is designed to incorporate the flexibility to
tailor the response to meet the emergency in order to minimiseze the:
