I. OBJECTIVES
This lesson will help you understand more about computer. It will let you go deeper about its software and
hardware, parts, functions and differences.
Specific Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the pupils are expected to:
1. define computer hardware and software;
2. differentiate hardware and software in terms of its functions and example; and
3. analyze how hardware and software functions and work together.
ISTEE Standards: The learners will acquire the following standards:
 Digital Citizen - Students recognize the rights, responsibilities and opportunities of living, learning
and working in an interconnected digital world, and they act and model in ways that are safe, legal
and ethical.
 Empowered Learner - Students leverage technology to take an active role in choosing, achieving,
and demonstrating competency in their learning goals, informed by the learning sciences
II. SUBJECT MATTER
Content/Topic: Computer Hardware
Concepts:
i. Hardware is the physical parts while Software is the application, memory and information inside the
computer.
ii. System unit is the part the comprises all the main data of a computer.
iii. Control System is the process on how the computer processes data.
iv. Motherboard is the main circuit board found inside the computer that connects its different parts
together.
