REORGANIZATION OF THE MUNICIPAL/LOCAL DEVELOPMENT

COUNCIL OF MUNICIPALITY OF MAGUING, PROVINCE OF LANAO
DEL SUR

WHEREAS, Section 106-115 of the Local Government Code of the Philippines of

1991 mandates the establishment of a Local Development Council in every
Municipality;

WHEREAS, pursuing this mandates necessitates the creation of a Local

Development Council in the Municipality of Maguing, Province of Lanao del Sur;

NOW THEREFORE, I, FAHAD D. MOLOK, Municipal Mayor of the

Municipality of Maguing, Province of Lanao del Sur, by virtue of the power vested in
me, do hereby order and direct the following;

SECTION 1. Composition. under the existing laws particularly Section 108,

paragraph (b) MMA No.26 in relation to Section 106-115, the Local Development
Council shall be organized as follows:

SECTION 2. Functions.

A. The Local Development Council shall initiate the formulation of the

Comprehensive Multi-Sectoral Development Plan of the LGU which shall be
approved by the Sangguniang Bayan. For this purpose, it shall assist the
Sangguniang Bayan in setting direction of Economic and Social Development,
and coordinating development efforts within its territorial jurisdiction;

B. The Municipal Development council shall also exercise the following

functions;

1. Formulate long-term, medium term, and annual socio-economic

development plans and policies;
2. Formulate the medium-term and annual public investment programs;
3. Appraise and priorities socio-economic development programs and
policies;
4. Formulate local investment incentives to promote the inflow and direction
of private investment capital;
5. Coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the implementation of development
programs and projects;
6. Perform such other functions as may be provided by law or competent
authorities.

SECTION 3. The Executive Committee. Each Local Development Council shall

create an Executive Committee to represent it and act in its behalf when it is not in
session. The composition of the Executive committee shall be the following;

SECTION 4. Functions. The Executive Committee shall exercise the following

Powers and functions;

1) Ensure that the decision of the council are faithfully carried out and
implemented;
2) Act on matters requiring immediate attention or action by the council;
3) Formulate policies, plans and programs based on the general principles
laid by the council;
and
4) Act on matters that may be authorized by the council.

SECTION 5. Secretariat. The Secretariat of the Local Development Council shall

composed of the following:

SECTION 6. Effectivity.

This Executive Order shall take effect immediately upon signing and any other
prior issuance are hereby repealed, modified and amended accordingly.

Done this 6th of February 2020 at the office of the Mayor, Municipality of
Maguing, Province of Lanao del Sur.
