Introduction of the Study:-

Quality Assurance is the activity of providing evidence to establish confidence that

quality requirements will be met. ISO defines quality assurance as all the planned and

systematic activities implemented within the quality system and demonstrated as

needed to provide adequate confidence that an entity will fulfill requirements for

quality. Quality Assurance is sometimes the name of a department concerned with

many quality management activities such as quality planning, quality control, quality

improvement, quality audit and reliability.

Many quality assurance activities provide protection against quality problems through

early warnings of trouble ahead. The assurance comes from evidence a set of facts.

For simple products, the evidence is usually some form of inspection or testing of the

product. For complex products, the evidence is inspection, test data and also reviews

of plans and audits of the execution of plans. A family of assurance technique is

available to cover a wide variety of needs.

Quality assurance is similar to the concept of the financial audit which provides

assurance of financial integrity by establishing, through “independent audit” that the

plan of accounting is such that if followed it will correctly reflect the financial

condition of the company and is actually being followed. Today, independent financial

auditors have become an influential force in the field of finance.

Study focuses on the Quality Assurance activities in the organization.

The Promoters have vast experience in the field of Electrical Industry, worked with

various industries. Promoting Cryotech with small scale manufacturing unit, grown to

large scale manufacturing unit and world class facility established. Facilities Serving

the various Customers , Suppliers , both Domestic and International decided to work

with customer through Cryotech.

 Cryotech located in south west part of India near to industrialized area of Pune

and Mumbai on national highway (NH4). Which makes location strategic for sea

and air shipment and with excellent road connectivity.

 The company takes pride in its work by using updated machinery &

equipments, with vast experience of 40+ years in the field of stamping &

electrical industry.

 Since its starts of operation up to this day Cryotech have been providing

product development, press tool & stamping manufacturing, batch production,

contract manufacturing, customized windings and semi-automatic windings for

moderate quantity etc. to serving the clients according to their needs.

 Cryotech aim is to provide technical support in the field of Stamping, Electrical

Motor & Engineering Industry.

 The company assures its clients of their satisfaction by addressing their needs

and requirement in a timely manner.

3. Importance and Significant of the Study:

 Study is beneficial to know Quality Assurance activities in the organization.

 Study is vital to evaluate current Quality Assurance activities in the

organization.

 Study will help to know problems in Quality Assurance activities of the

organization.

 Thus by knowing problems in Quality Assurance activities it can be rectified.

 Thus overall study will lead to suggest organization measures for streamlining

Quality Assurance activities.

4. Need of the study :-

 Quality assurance (QA) is a way of preventing mistakes and defects in

manufactured products and avoiding problems when delivering products or

services to customers; which ISO 9000 defines as "part of quality management

focused on providing confidence that quality requirements will be fulfilled".

 Quality assurance involves the systematic review of Industrial programmers

and processes to maintain and improve their quality, equity and efficiency.

The scope of the study is as follows:-

A. Geographical scope :-

 The geographical scope of study is limited up to CRYOTECH, M.I.D.C.

Tasawade , Karad.
 B. Conceptual scope :-

 Conceptual scope of study includes the concept of Quality Assurance,

Quality Assurance activities.

C. Analytical scope :-

 Analytical scope includes comparative study of standard Quality

Assurance activities and actual Quality Assurance activities in the

organization.

6. Objectives of the Study :-

 To study quality assurance and quality control process in CRYOTECH,

M.I.D.C. Tasawade , Karad.

 To find out the rejection of components in CRYOTECH, M.I.D.C.

Tasawade , Karad.

 To know problems of Quality Assurance activities of the organization.

 To measure the cost of poor quality.

 To find out the reasons behind the poor quality of component.

7. Research Methodology:

 Method of study uses for this study is uses as follows:-

 The type of research is Descriptive research.

A. Data Required:-

 Data regarding present Quality Assurance activities of various

departments is required for study also conceptual framework and

company profile is required.

 B. Data Sources: -

 Data of Quality Assurance activities will obtained from company records

also by discussion with various department heads.

C. Data Analysis:

 Data analysis is done with the comparative study of actual Quality

Assurance activities with standard one.

 The quality assurance activities are measured as per the standards of

IATF ( international automotive task force ) and this activities are carried

out by quality inspector.

8. Limitations of the study :-

 The Survey conduct in this research will not most part , yield statistically

significant results.

 The complexity of the topic was evident by a variety of conditions within the

Cryotech , M.I.D.C. Tasawade. This complexity created barriers for the

researcher .

 This Survey will led the team to a sample of diverse case studies from which

to draw Conclusion.

9. Hypothesis :-

 Quality Assurance provides competitive strength to the CRYOTECH Taswade

MIDC, Karad.
  Quality Assurance facilitates positive motivation to the employees in

CRYOTECH, Taswade MIDC, Karad.

 Proposition is usually formulated for qualitative Study.

10. Expected contribution :-

This project work will cover the study of Quality Assurance and effectiveness of

Quality System in the Cryotech , Taswade MIDC, Tauka-Karad, Dist-Satara. The

research work will helps to creating and maintaining the Quality satisfactory level of

performance of employees in their present job.
