Sample:
The graph illustrates the proportion of households using cars in the UK during
1971 and 2007.
It is noticeable that car ownership in the UK increased during the given period.
While the percentage of households with two cars increased, there was a
decrease in the proportion of families without any cars.
In 1971, the proportion of households without a car stood at nearly 50%, slightly
higher than that of households having one car, at just over 42%. By contrast,
only nearly 9% of British households owned 2 cars and a mere 1 % of
households owned more than 3 cars, which was the lowest recorded figure.
From 1971 onwards, while the percentage of families owning one car remained
stable, that of households without any car dropped to approximately 25% in
2007. By contrast, the proportion of families in the UK who owned two cars
increased slightly to nearly 26% and the figure for families with more than two
cars rose by almost 5%.
Question: The graph below gives information about car ownership in Britain
from 1971 to 2007.

Câu 2: Nhận xét về 2 line nổi bật nhất: 1 line tăng mạnh, 1 line giảm mạnh.
Phân tích Cấu trúc của câu 2:
1. While ..., ...: thể hiện sự tương phản, so sánh
While = whereas: hai từ này đứng trước một mệnh đề. Câu có 2 từ này
phải có 2 mệnh đề.
By contrast/ Meanwhile/ In stark contrast: đứng đầu câu như một
trạng từ.
2. Paraphrase linh hoạt các từ chỉ phần trăm:

1. Internet usage:
Động từ chính: USA – get access to Internet – using – used – Internet usage
Khi nhắc đến quốc gia thì có thể nói đến quốc tịch:
USA – Americans (chú ý dùng số nhiều) - in America
Example:
Dùng số liệu làm chủ ngữ:
In 1999, around 20% of Americans got access to Internet.
Dùng topic làm chủ ngữ:
In 1999, Internet usage in America stood at around 20%.
Dùng đơn vị “percentage” làm chủ ngữ:
In 1999, the percentage of Americans using Internet stood at around 20%.
Nhận xét thấy năm 2003, Canada có số liệu tăng dần và vượt Mỹ, rồi sau đó
tăng mạnh lên gần 100%.
Over the next four years, Internet usage in Canada showed an upward trend,
overtaking that of the USA. By 2009, it had soared to almost 100%.

Vì cả giai đoạn này, các line có xu hướng giảm, sau đó lại tăng mạnh, nên có thể
miêu tả từng giai đoạn của từng line.
Example:
The proportion of young adults in London who did not have a job stood at 22%
in 1993, compared to 17% of Rest of England. This figure had decreased to 15%
by 1999 before remaining constant for the next three years, after which it rose
dramatically to 25% at the end of the period. Similarly, nhận xét về tình hình
thay đổi của Rest of England ở độ tuổi 16-24.
