However, manufacturers in India do not add high electronic content in the products
due to limited industry-specific standards. The current market is dominated by
secondary sales and primary sales are limited due to reduced disposable income in
semi-urban and rural markets. Even as global markets are witnessing rapid
consumer uptake as electronic content increases across verticals (e.g., automotive
with applications around safety, connectivity, infotainment, consumer electronics,
smart homes, etc.); India has a slower adoption as consumers remain highly
sensitive to even a marginal increase in product promotions.

Research Design
It is a descriptive survey which investigated the extent to which the
retailors of electronic consumer goods and their promotion fixation is
concerned.
Primary data
Data collected directly from source using interview, questionnaire or survey
method.
Secondary data
Data collected from sources like journal, newspaper, procure, manuals or
websites.
The data collected for this project is a form of secondary data as it is collected
from the respective firm’s product manual and promotion quotes
Data Analysis
Data analysis is done by comparing promotions of six segments of electronic
commodity such as washing machine, led tv, refregerators etc. graphical
presentation is made to understand the minute promotion differences.
CHAPTER-4
→: It was found out that in washing machine segment the promotions of patra
electronics is better than the GREAT EASTERN , particularly 6.5 & 8 k.g.
product.
→: It was found out that in Cooler segment the promotion of Y and Z segment in
patra electronics is higher than the GREAT EASTERN, but in X category
product is lower
→: It was found out that in microwave segment the promotion of patra electronics
Samsung is almost lower than the GREAT EASTERN and otherwise three types of
product XYZ the all product are those promotions up and down of patra electronics
and GREAT EASTERN promotions
→: It was found out that in LED TV segment the promotion of XY segment of
Samsung and Y of Lg is lower promotion of patra electronics and otherwise
GREAT EASTERN having rest segment of Samsung, Lg and Sony is lower than
patra electronics promotions
→:It was found out that in Air conditioner segment the promotion of 1.5 ton and
2 ton segment of patra electronics is lower than the GREAT EASTERN, otherwise
2 ton of Voltas and Lg and 1 ton of Samsung, LG and Voltas of GREAT
EASTERN is lower than the patra electronics
→: It was found out that in Refrigerator segment the promotion of 250 to 300 kg
and 300 to 400 kg segment of patra electronics is lower than the GREAT
EASTERN, otherwise 190 to 195 of whirlpool and Lg and 250 to 300 of Samsung,
LG and whirlpool of GREAT EASTERN is lower than the patra electronics
SUGGESTIONS
→: Customer has to identify the place where the respective product is going to be
cheaper. For that process the customer has to collect the promotion quotation from
the each of the place

The report aims to study the promotion strategy of Patra electronics and GREAT
EASTERN and to study the promotion difference between the same product
retained by the concerned organization. It was found that in washing machine
segment the promotions of patra electronics is better than the GREAT EASTERN
and that in cooler segment the promotion of Y&Z segment in patra electronics is
higher than the GREAT EASTERN, it was found out that in LEDTV segment the
promotion of XY segment of Samsung and Y of Lg is lower promotion of patra
electronics and otherwise GREAT EASTERN having rest segment of Samsung, Lg
and Sony is lower than patra electronics promotions. It was also water purifier
segment the promotion of patraelectronics RO, UV of bluestar promotions is lower
than the GREAT EASTERN, but RO+UV promotions higher and another two
product pureit and kent are both of same up and down pricing policy of patra
electronics and GREAT EASTERN.
From the above finding certain suggestions can be commented such as:-
Customer has to identify the place where the respective product is going to be
cheaper. For that process the customer has to collect the promotion quotation from
the each of the place. A customer should not focus on the promotion only strategy
rather; it has to identify the effective services provided by respective retailer. A
retailer should give shoppers a gift, for active their reciprocity reflex. It is triggered
when you give people something for free, and causes them to feel obligated to do
something return.
