INDIVIDUAL PROJECT (20%)

1. Choose one (1) tourism destination that you have been to

2. Make a reflective writing about your visit to the tourism destination.

REQUIREMENTS
• Background and information of the Tourism Destination
• What are the attractions of the Tourism Destination
• How could the Tourism Destination sustain the operational for another 10-20 years?
• Reflection on the Tourism Destination and its various sectors/components that made the
destination interesting, for example – was the transportation convenient, the food and culture
interesting, attractions and offerings unique, etc and do highlight any unexpected event that
WOW or disappointed.

GUIDELINES
• Reflective writing to be presented through a blogsite (part of an e-portfolio).
• Please include some of the relevant photos, videos, etc and reference it in the writing.
• Information taken from other sources (internet sources) must be quoted with web address/link,
and date access to avoid plagiarism and loss of marks.

SUBMISSION will be via TIMEs, just with site link, by 14 May 2021, that carries 20%.

Late Submission

Assignment deadlines must be strictly adhered to as time management is a highly valued professional
skill. Assignments which are submitted late will be penalised as follows:

Submitted one (1) day after deadline - deduct 5% from marks awarded
Submitted two (2) days after deadline - deduct 10% from marks awarded
Submitted three (3) days after deadline - deduct 15% from marks awarded
Submitted four (4) days after deadline - deduct 20% from marks awarded
