Balcón de Alto San Isidro, in the Municipality of Garzón, one of the best tourist

viewpoints in Huila. Yamil Rojas and other people are part of this tourist
project, which seeks to give citizens a place to share with nature and see the
Diocesan City, from the upper part of the Alto San Isidro Vereda, this site will
be given to the community service, prior to the start of Holy Week, successes,
to the managers, of this excellent idea. Garzoneños, we invite you to visit this
beautiful tourist site in the center of Huila.

The Salto de Las Damas has a height of 20 meters, it is reached there by a path
of 710 meters in the middle of the forest, a duration of 30 minutes
contemplating nature. The Las Damas stream is born within the limits of the
Cerro Páramo de Miraflores Regional Natural Park located in the eastern
mountain range and which extends through the municipalities of Guadalupe,
Garzón, Gigante and Algeciras. It owes its name because there the ladies of
the surroundings went to wash the clothes.

The Balseadero viaduct connects the municipalities of Garzón and El Agrado,


located in the Huila department, in Colombia. This one was inaugurated a few
days ago and its 1,708 meters in length make it the longest in the country. Thanks
to its construction, mobility will be favored, allowing a circulation of 800 vehicles
per day. It also has pedestrian platforms along its entire length to enable the
transit of people across the bridge. It will also promote economic development
and tourism in the Latin American region, and in environmental matters, the El
Quimbo Hydroelectric Project has made an investment of 6,000 million pesos for
the ecological rehabilitation of some 11,000 hectares. The investment made has
been about 73,000 million pesos and during its construction around 500 jobs have
been created. The work started in 2013 and was completed in June this year.

Garzón is known as the Diocesan capital of Huila for
having been the first diocese of the Department. It has a
unique religious infrastructure; next to its majestic
cathedral, the temples of San José de Nazaret and Nuestra
Señora del Rosario. The Conciliar Seminary of María
Inmaculada and the Chapel of Monserrate and the
Monastery of the Clarisas Sisters, make Garzón the perfect
place for meditation and prayer, customs inherent in its
inhabitants, a living example of the Catholic faith.
