- Physical Self -

Answer the following questions about yourself as fully and precisely as you can.

Complete the sentences below:

1. For me, beauty means appreciating those qualities in ourselves, being comfortable on
our own, embracing our flaws and imperfections. It is anything that makes us look and
feel good about ourselves. Beauty comes from happiness and bringing happiness to
others. It can be found in the moments in which we are reminded what matters most to
us.
What really defines beauty is our personality and our attitudes towards ourselves and to
other people. Finding true beauty is much more than skin deep. Remember that true
beauty cannot be defined by the body shape or the face God has given, beauty should
be defined by our pure heart and a good character.

2. A beautiful person is someone who has a genuine heart and a good spirit, who knows
the value of simplicity, freedom, self-expression, and compassion. Loves her perfectly
imperfect self. Who can laugh, enjoy little things, and live life with no fear, knows also
how to treat others with kind and respect, and knows that her appearance is nothing
compared to how she looks from the inside. Physical beauty is attractive, yes, it is. But it
will definitely fade one day. Being beautiful is not about looks, and will never be about
looks, it is all about being a good person.

When you are yourself around others, you don’t strive for perfection, instead you wear
a smile a lot, and always prepared to show your own flaws – and that what makes a
person beautiful.

3. I am beautiful because I have my own distinct characteristics that made me unique. I do

have a lot of imperfections and I accept and embrace it wholeheartedly. I am being
myself and I love being ‘me’ all the time. Also, I allow myself to show my real emotions –
either bad or good. I see the beauty in the flaws and imperfections of myself and I am
not worried about how society defines beauty and I don’t need society’s approval about
that.
The moment I learn to embrace my own beauty is the moment I actually start to feel
beautiful and comfortable with my own… and will continue to love myself for who I am
and accepting others for who they are.
