Students’ Coping Up Mechanisms in Time of Covid 19

Pandemic
I. INTRODUCTION
In spite of the challenges, we feel and experience during
the pandemic, we never lose to fight and hope to continue our
lives. The battle you're in today is building up the strength you
need for later. Many students are battling and enduring presently
today, yet, many decided to adapt up and face the difficulties in
this season of pandemic as it raises new challenges to their well-
being.
THESIS STATEMENT
Students turn this time of uncertainty in to a chance to
expand their capacities to do new things and learn. The Covid
can altogether influence psychological well-being of students at
home, however adapting to these difficult circumstances can
lessen the possible effect on their emotional well-being.
II. BODY
Main Point: Capacities to do New Things and Learn
A. Students tend to think about gaining new skills, especially
with the free time they have in their hand during the pandemic.
Learn a new subject, gain a new skill, or just enhance the ones
you already have, that’s how some students spend their time.
B. Coronavirus is messing up every aspect of society. School
is no exception, with millions of students now stuck at home
dealing with a bunch of new stress. More than 1.6 billion
students have had their schools close temporarily because of the
COVID-19 pandemic, over 91% of total enrolled learners
(UNESCO, 2020). With this situation, it didn’t stop some
students to learn, either learning thru free online courses or
learning by their own pace. Coping up by educating yourself is
the best way to be productive in this time. While the COVID-19
spreads worldwide, there are currently more than 1.2 billion
children and students in 186 countries affected by school
closures due to pandemic. There are many students having a
hard time to adopt the new way of learning. Some may have an
issue regarding their level of intelligence, to the point that they
need more attention to explain the given lesson, while some of
the students have privileges to learn since they are more
powerful and blessed to keep their studies. This issue of system
changes and as this kind of system continue, many of the
students are still undergoing in transformation of the 'New
Normal'. The students who are undergoing with this kind of
situation needs a lot of support to catch up with the lessons.
C. There is nothing perfect in this world. We all have abilities
in our lives, so we should be thankful for what we have in our
lives, but despite all this we still must learn to share our
knowledge to our fellow students because I believe that in our
time, we are the only ones united to develop every ability of our
fellow students. They say, if you know something, then share it
with others.
Main Point: Mental Health
A. Left and right there are news that spreads about the
depression of every youth or student in our time.
B. Students may experience increased fatigue, headaches, and
lack of motivation. At the same time most of students are
focusing on their self and mental health, but if it's about
academic purposes the students' mental health are unhealthy and
unstable because of the pressure and stress caused of online
academic.
C. They say if others can, so can you. But in our time, many
students lose their appetite to learn because of the problems they
go through while studying, so not only education is affected but
also their mental health. Sometimes even some students forget to
eat because they want to finish the task assigned to them by their
teachers, but how can they answer the questions in the lessons
assigned to them if their stomachs are empty? So, before we
answer our modules, we must eat right on time and have time
management to make our daily activities smooth.
Main Point: Life Status
A. Not all students are the same. When it comes to online
class, some only use Mobile Data while others have Wi-Fi.
These are the ones used in learning nowadays.
B. The Philippines ranked 101st among 179 countries in
terms of fixed line internet speed in 2019. The country’s average
speed of 19.51 Mbps was much slower than the global average
of 57.91 Mbps. The network and internet connection weren’t
enough for our online schools, this statement is based on how
our life is going this pandemic.
C. As a Student, I am one of them in the middle of today's
study pandemic because I only use Mobile data. It is difficult,
but I have to persevere for a better future. I know that my other
neighbors are also struggling during the pandemic, but what we
need to do now is to trust in our own abilities.
III. CONCLUSION
"Don't let what you cannot do Interfere with what you can
do." Although our time now is difficult, it is accompanied by the
resilience of each student in their respective lives. Even if it is
not easy to be a student, we should not let go of our mental
health because their health is wealth. Even in the state of our
lives and knowledge I know that even though a few students are
slow in their learning, they are still trying their best to keep up
with their fellow students.

Other Ideas to Conclude:

Self-esteem and Having enough time for every task performed
on a daily basis. As Dr. Jose Rizal says that "Youth is the Hope
of the People." so we must work together in our time because
unity is the answer to the Clincher Ideas: Pavement of
Scrimmage.
