Activity 1
Instruction: Answer the following questions to the best of your ability. Refrain from giving
plain and incompetent answers. Live your being an Art Appreciation student.

1. “We make art and art make us”. Elaborate this line using the idea of the six notion
of art with at least 5 sentences.
2. Does art and humanity contributes you becoming truly human?
3. How can you utilize the arts to express yourself, your community, and your relation
to others?

Answers:
1.)In my humble opinion it is truly that "We make art and art make us" simply because by
the six notion of arts it deals with us human being first one "Art is everywhere" yes art it is
everywhere because every moment we saw something that could amaze our sight of vision
it can be consider as an art. The second notion is about Expression and Communication
this is one of the best thing in arts because through art we can express what we feel and
can create communication by doing an art because in every art there is a message behind
that. Third notion is about Creation yes arts is an creation simply because we do thinking by
using the power of our imagination we can create art the skills are their because creation is
guide by our skills. The fourth one is Experience at this moment in every single moments of
our actions arts is always involve because we sees art and feel. The fifth notion is about
nature in simple taught about this nature and art is an combination because some artist
creates arts by basing on the beauty of our nature. And lastly is beauty this is one of the
most nicest thing on arts because we sees it how beauty art is.

2.) Will yes it really contributes to me becoming truly human why because we can get
idea's in every creation of arts because there is an message behind on that art. That could
derive as an inspiration for us to be come a truly human.

3.) How am i supposed to do is that to show my expression by creating and art that shows
reflection of myself and how i show my contribution in the community through art and also
showcasing my good relation to others.

Activity 1
Instruction: Answer the following questions to the best of your ability. Refrain from giving

1. Does art always have a function? Why? Support your response. Provide your own
example.
2. If an artwork ceased to have a function, will it remain an art? Why?
3. Look around your house and identify a product of art. In a short bond paper, paste
a picture of that product of art in your household. Trace the beginning of this item
and identify what functions it has in history (e.g., a painting of the Last Supper in
your dining room or a spoon).

Instruction: For a record of at least a week of doing your daily task inside and outside your
home, you are to list down all the art materials/instruments you have utilized
day by day and indicate how did you apply its major functions in your everyday
living. Please note that you will have to consider taking pictures of yourself
upon applying the functions of each art instruments. See suggested format
below for you to be guided accordingly.

1. Get a copy of the logo or emblem of your school, NMCST, and your City or
Municipality, and explain the symbolisms depicted in them. Computerized –
short bond paper.
2. House Tour.
a. Tour around inside and outside your house and take a picture that interests
you.
b. Put and print it in a long bond paper
c. Choose one (1) picture and label it using the ways of representing the subject
and meaning of the subject.
d. Give the reason for choosing the picture and the reason how you identified
the picture according to the ways of representing the subject in not more than
3 sentences.
