QUESTIONS FOR THE SECOND SEMESTER

1. What should people do to preserve the environment for the next generation?

It is undeniable that the environment plays a critical role in people's lives; it

provides food, drink, the atmosphere, vital infrastructure, and so on. Therefore,
it is everyone's duty to protect the ecosystem for their descendants.

Firstly, recycle and separate your biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste,

or better still, stop generating garbage entirely by eliminating disposable items.
You know, some plastics can take hundreds of years to degrade in the
environment. However, they typically accumulate in the bodies of animals and
humans prior to this process, causing significant harm to people's health.

Secondly, according to some estimates, a large number of trees are cut down
every hour for various reasons so more trees must be planted immediately. For
example, students can partake in some recreational activities celebrated every
spring about planting trees.

Last but not least, traveling short distances by walking or riding a bicycle will
greatly reduce the amount of gas emissions released into the atmosphere. Less
carbon dioxide, more fresh air, more convenience.

In a nutshell, these are just a few of the small things that individuals can do to
alter their lifestyles. However, if millions of people do the same thing, it will
eventually make a difference.

2. What should we do to protect the forests?

Forests are the earth’s lungs, vital for environmental stability as well as human
health and happiness. Despite this, they are under threat, especially in tropical
areas. Therefore, it is urgent that people take steps to preserve the forest.

Firstly, it is suggested that people plant more trees. Reforestation is a critical

aspect of combating climate change and restoring previously destroyed habitats,
which will provide valuable habitat for endangered species.

Secondly, reduce the amount of paper and wood products they use. Trees have
napkins, pens, paper plates and tissues. We will help minimize the number of
trees that need cutting down if individuals make an effort to use less of these
things. Instead of that, they can use cloth napkins and rags.

Lastly, as much paper as possible should be recycled. Anything that is paper

such as cardboard, cereal boxes, old homework and newspapers will normally
be recycled. Rather than getting rid of these items in the garbage, they can make
a deliberate effort to place them in a recycling bin.

Forest is the house for trees and other living things that are vital to our survival.
As a result, it is everyone’s responsibility to protect the trees.

3. What are the disadvantages of being a working mother?

People no longer think of a woman as a stay-at-home mother with stereotyped

responsibilities. Women now play an important role in contributing to the
economy, demonstrating their ability to succeed in the job market. This move
has many benefits, but it also has some drawbacks.

Firstly, working mothers may have less time for family. Due to their hectic
schedules, they are often unable to attend family gatherings. Furthermore, some
working mothers devote the majority of their time to their jobs, so they may pay
less attention to family matters.

Secondly, despite working for a living, they must also care for their families,
which adds to their exhaustion and depression. Running for 8 hours straight in
the workplace causes exhaustion and tiredness.

Finally, if the husband does not assist the wife with household duties, it will be
difficult for her because she would have to work 24 hours a day without any
assistance, which may affect cooperation and the husband-wife relationship,
resulting in the end of such a pious relationship.

In a nutshell, I think that a working mother should feel proud of herself as she
has the power to give best to her family.

4. What is your most impressive tradition in your country that you are really
interested in? Why?
Vietnam is well-known for its many festivals and cultural ceremonies.
Following that, we have some really meaningful traditions. But I want to say
that tradition is not only cultural events, but it also includes the features and
characteristics of the people. One of them is our country's people-to-people
solidarity.

To begin, I'd like to emphasize that solidarity is the most well-known trait of the
Vietnamese. In the past, we attempted to fight against invaders from China,
France, and America, and thanks to our unity, we were able to overcome them
and achieve independence.
Second, during the first and second COVID-19 outbreaks in Vietnam last year,
despite the fear of a pandemic, we trusted the authorities and worked together
with others to follow all of the Ministry of Health's precautions. That went a
long way toward reducing the number of cases in Vietnam.

Last but not least, the pandemic is resurfacing in Vietnam. Instead of being
scared, people are now very optimistic, and they tell each other to obey 5K rules
and unite to beat COVID-19 once more.

In a nutshell, Vietnamese people have a strong sense of unity, which I admire.

As a result of this, our country is becoming increasingly strong.

5. What is success? What should you do to be successful in your study at

school?

So first of all, success is the status of having achieved and accomplished an aim
or objective. Being successful means the achievement of desired visions and
planned goals. As a students, I think there are something that I have to do to
achieve success.

Firstly, make a mental note of your performance. Consider and visualize the
future they want. If one just fantasizes about 'success' without considering how
to achieve it, they will not be successful.

Secondly, figure out how to be productive. People must learn how to work best
for themselves, as well as how to prioritize various tasks and, if possible, get rid
of those that they do not need to do themselves.

Lastly, try to work hard and continue doing what they enjoy. People only do
them well when they are really interested in something. As a consequence, if
they have an urge or a specific thing, they will try their hardest to complete all
of the tasks. From my perspective, this is the key role to achieve success.

In a nutshell, all people do today is influenced by their personality, motivations,

and habits. As a result, if they adopt a certain set of habits in life, they will make
themselves competitive.

6. Do you think smartphones, laptops and tablets are useful for learning? Why?

My answer is definitely yes. Smart devices such as smartphones, laptops and

tablets now plays a critical role in our lives, not only do they benefit adults but
they go a long way in assisting students as well. Here are some reasons.
To begin, smart devices enable students to spend less time searching for
evidence and facts for their study. Instead of spending hours looking up
dictionaries or reading books, they can now get anything they need with a
simple click.

Secondly, since we need to practice our English skills a lot due to the feature of
our major, smartphones are extremely useful. We can practice listening and
speaking at any time and from any location by using a small piece of software
on our cellphone.

Finally, they can be a valuable source of entertainment for us when we have

hectic schedules, reducing stress and pressure induced by homework and
assignments. Students may feel better after releasing all of their tension, and
they may then focus more on their work, which contributes to the efficiency of
their work.

In a nutshell, smartphones, tablets, and laptops may have some drawbacks.

However, if we know how to use it wisely, it would greatly benefit us.

7. What are the benefits of using personal electronic devices for your study?

Electronic devices such as smartphones, laptops and tablets now plays a critical
role in our lives, not only do they benefit adults but they go a long way in
assisting students as well. Here are some reasons.

To begin, smart devices enable students to spend less time searching for
evidence and facts for their study. Instead of spending hours looking up

hectic schedules, reducing stress and pressure induced by homework and
assignments. Students may feel better after releasing all of their tension, and
they may then focus more on their work, which contributes to the efficiency of
their work.

In a nutshell, smartphones, tablets, and laptops may have some drawbacks.

However, if we know how to use it wisely, it would greatly benefit us.
8. What are the human activities that impact our environment?

Humans have both positive and negative effects on the environment. Planting
more trees and rationally using natural resources that support human life are
examples of positive results.

However, there are some drawbacks that need to be mentioned. Humans have a
wide range of effects on the physical world, including overpopulation, pollution,
the use of fossil fuels, and deforestation. These types of changes have resulted in
climate change, soil degradation, poor air quality, and undrinkable water.

More specifically, over-exploitation of natural resources and deforestation have

resulted in the destruction of natural habitat. Many animals are either threatened
or on the verge of extinction as a result of the deterioration of living conditions.
Furthermore, the use of fossil fuels has increased dramatically, resulting in
substantial gas emissions that damage the environment.

Humans have engaged in a variety of harmful practices that have harmed the
ecosystem. It is high time for us to take steps to manage the situation and make
the world a better place.
