 From the perception of a project manager you have to answer the questions given below relevant to
the following questions.
 The owner of a newly opened medical clinic wants to develop a software system from your firm. At
present the hospital has the following departments:

(A) Patient Registration department

(B) Human Resource department
(C) Accountancy department
(D) Pathology department
(E) Marketing Department
(F) Pharmacy
(G) Administration of doctor chambers for private practice
(H) Transport and car pools

 Initial study has found that this establishment is in turmoil situations and frequently its working
procedures are being changed. A discussion with the Managing Director of the clinic has revealed
that the activities of the hospital are being expanded very rapidly and they have a plan to establish its
branches in all major cities of the country eventually. The MD has agreed to get the workable part of
the software installed on their sites with several/incremental deliveries.

1. By assessing the above stated case, which process model of software development are you going to
follow for developing the above-mentioned project? For taking this decision, will you invite your
client to share their opinion? Why or why not?
2. Give the argument in favor of your selected process model.
3. Define time box concept and its benefits in business-oriented projects. Are you going to apply
time-box concept in your project? What should be the length of time box? How will you decide to
measure the length of time box for this project?
