Materials: (для дошк+уровней beginners-подготовить варежку, клей и блестки\ фигурки)

1. “New Year vocabulary” – Put all New Year cards (big flashcards) on the table,
children say what they see. Then teacher quickly says the word and children should
put their hands on the correct flashcard. Continue this activity with all cards.
2. Christmas forever friends-video- Divide big flashcards among students and ask
them to raise a picture and name it every time they see it in the cartoon. –translate or
ask questions about what happens in video
3. Find a pair – use a set of colorful Christmas socks (лежат в общей папке
материалов). Put them all on the table and ask children to find a pair to every sock.
Then children have to explain their similarities with construction “They have” (they
have red and blue colors)
4. Postmen. There is a thick sheet of paper with word endings in front of each team (2
meters). The other sheet with word beginnings has to be cut into cards before, put
them in 2 magic bags. Two people from each team take their bag and (when the
teacher says) run to the big sheet (an addressee), take out one card (a post) from the
bag and match with the ending on the sheet. Then they return and pass the bag to
another member of the team. The winning team is the first who matches all the words.

5. Song – Frosty the Snowman”
 Divide into parts (for beginners) and ask children to put these parts in order they
hear (application 2)
 For “elementaries” listen to one verse of the song, children should fill in the gaps
(make the gaps with a corrector).
 Ask children to find the rhyme from the song to these words

6. “Who doesn`t have a present”

take cards (application5), then ask children to connect animal with food that it likes
(but before it take one card with food). So, children should make couples like
“monkey-banana”. After this they show their cards and use construction IT LIKES
(Monkey likes banana). Ask children to draw food for animal that doesn't have its
present.

8. “Snowballs»-включаем новогоднюю музыку-делим всех детей на 2 команды и
ставим их в противоположные концы комнаты(снежков со словами должно быть
много)-кидаемся снежками под музыку, когда Вы останавливаете музыку, у кого в
руках снежок, тот и делает с ним предложение))
ИЛИ БОЛЕЕ СПОКОЙ НАЯ ВЕРСИЯ
“Toss the snowball!” Divide children in 2 teams. Put a bucket in one part of the room.
By turn children of each team take one snowball, say a New Year’s word and throw the
snowball into the bucket. The winner is the team which gets the most snowballs.

9. "Drawing Santa Claus". Рулетка *СНЕГОВИК*Понадобится: — рулетка в виде 7-

мигранника с частями тела.APP6 — карандаш или любой стержень, чтобы
сделать волчок.— чистый лист бумаги и карандаш/ручка или фломастер для
каждого участника игры. Вырезаем шаблон по контуру, надеваем на карандаш,
и наша рулетка готова! Играть: Дети по очереди вращают рулетку и рисуют у
себя на листочке ту часть тела снеговика, которая им выпала. Если выпадает то,
что уже было, пропускаем ход. Выигрывает тот, кто раньше всех нарисовал
снеговика, то есть, кому выпало большее количество неповторяющихся частей
тела.

10. Telegram to Father Frost. Children name 13 adjectives: "fat", "red", "hot", "cold",
"pretty", "happy"... Teacher writes them on the board. Then teacher takes out the
telegram and fills in the missing adjectives.

The telegram is the following: " ... Santa Claus! Все ... children с нетерпением
ожидают твоего ... прихода. New Year это самый ... праздник в году. Мы будем sing
для тебя ... songs, dance ... dances! Наконец-то наступит ... New Year! Как не
хочется говорить о ... учебе. Мы обещаем, что будем получать только ... оценки.
Так что, открывай поскорее свой ... sack и вручай нам ... presents. С уважением к
тебе ... boys и ... girls!"(или зачитать с Арр4-для посложнее)
11. Show the Christmas tree
Ask children to stand up. Then say, that we will be Christmas trees long (put your
hands up), short (put your hands down), thick (put your hands wide, like for hugs),
thin (put your hands close to each other). Then tell the words and pupils have to show
Christmas trees : “I was walking in the forest and found … Christmas tree”). Change
adjectives all the time and say faster and faster. Children who how “wrong” Christmas
tree leave the game.

12. Follow my hands (application 7)

Print hands and circles. Write on them different New Year words (present, star …) . Then
put them on the table in any order (like on the photo). Switch on the music. Ask children
to put hands on appropriate “palm”, or knock with their fist (кулак) on the circle one by
one. If child put wrong palm or fist, he\she must translate or make sentence with this
word
