INTRODUCTION

ABOUT DEVENDRA JHAJHARIA

Devendra Jajhariya (born June 10, 1981 in India) is an Indian Paralympic


javelin athlete who has participated in F46.0 competitions. As the first Indian
Paralympic athlete to win two gold medals at the Paralympic Games, he won his
first gold medal in the 2004 Athens Paralympic Javelin and became the 2004
Athens Paralympic Games.

The second gold medalist.The Paralympic Games in your country. At the 2016
Rio de Janeiro Summer Paralympic Games, she won a second gold medal in the
same competition, which improved her previous record. As part of the
Paralympic Champions Program, the GoSports Foundation currently supports
Devendra.

Early Life and Background

Devendra Jajhariya was born in the Churu region of Rajasthan in 1980. When
he was eight years old, he climbed up a tree and touched a live wire. He
received medical treatment, but the doctor had to amputate his left arm. inHe
was discovered by the award-winning coach Dronacharya R. Singh in a school
sports competition in 1997, and has been coached by Early Life and
Background Singh ever since.

He mentioned his personal trainer R.Singh was awarded the 2004 Paralympic
Gold Medal: "He gave me a lot of advice and helped me with training.

Career

Jhajharia captured the gold medal at the 8th FESPIC Games in South Korea in
2002. Jhajharia qualified for his first Summer Paralympic Games in 2004,
representing India in Athens. At the games, he set a new career world record
with a distance of 62.15m, breaking the previous record of 59.77m. The throw
earned him the gold medal, making him only India's second gold medalist at the
Paralympics (Murlikant Petkar won the country's first gold medal).

In 2013, he made further sports achievements at the IPC World Athletics


Championships in Lyon, France, when he won the gold medal in the F46 javelin
competition and the silver medal in the 2014 Incheon Asian Games in Korea. In
Doha, despite a throw-in on June 59, Jahariya only finished second and fell
behind the Chinese team to win the silver medal.Chongliang, a record-breaking
distance in 2016, won the gold medal at the 2016 IPC Asian and Oceania
Athletics Championships in Dubai. At the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Summer
Paralympic Games, he won the gold medal in the javelin competition. The F46
throwing test improved its 2004 record with a world record of 63.97 meters.

Personal life

Jhajharia, a former Indian Railways employee, is now employed by the Sports


Authority of India. Manju, his wife, is a former nationally ranked kabaddi
player; the couple has a daughter, Jiya (age six), and a son, Kavyan (aged two).

Paralympic Games

The Paralympic Games, also known as the Paralympics, are a series of

disabilities, such as impaired muscle power (e.g. paraplegia and quadriplegia,
muscular dystrophy, post-polio syndrome, spina bifida), impaired passive range
of movement, limb deficiency (e.g. amputation or dysmelia), leg length
difference, short stature, hypertonia There are Winter and Summer Paralympic
Games, which have been held nearly directly after the respective Olympic
Games since the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. The
International Paralympic Committee (IPC) oversees all Paralympic Games.
The first significant achievement

Jhajharia earned his first major international medal at the Far East and South
Pacific Games for the Disabled in 2002, when he was 21 years old. This gives
him the courage to believe that he has what it takes to win competitions of this
calibre.

district champion.

The Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Prize (Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Prize) is
the highest sports award in the Republic of India. It is named after the
former Prime Minister of India Rajiv Gandhi (Rajiv Gandhi), who served
from 1984 to 1989 Years in office. It is awarded annually by the Ministry
of Youth and Sports. The beneficiaries are selected by a committee set up
by the Ministry of Education and are internationally recognized for their
"outstanding achievements in the field of sports over the past four years".
As of 2020, the award includes a commemorative medal, certificate and
2.5 million Danish kroner ($35,000) in cash.
The award was created in 1991-1992 and was awarded for the
performance of athletes based on the recommendations of the 2014 award
selection committee. The Ministry revised the standards in February 2015
to review performance over a four-year period. April: No more than two
athletes nominated by each sports discipline. A twelve-member
committee evaluates athletes’ performance in various international
events, such as the Olympics, Paralympics, Asian Games and
Commonwealth Games. The committee then submits its
recommendations to the Federal Minister of Youth and Sports for further
approval.

 FICCI
The Federation of Republic of Indian Chambers of Commerce &
Industry (FICCI) could be a non-governmental trade
association and advocacy group based in India. Established in 1927, on
the recommendation of Mahatma Gandhi by GD Birla and Purshottamdas
Thakurdas, it's the largest, oldest and also the apex enterprise in India. It
is a non-government, not-for-profit organisation.

FICCI attracts its membership from the company sector, each personal
and public, as well as SMEs and MNCs. The chamber includes an
indirect membership of over 250,0000 corporations from varied regional
chambers of commerce. it's concerned in sector-specific business
building, business promotion and networking. it's headquartered within
the national capital New Delhi and has a presence in twelve states in India
and 8 countries across the world.Confederation of Micro, tiny ANd
Medium Enterprises is an attached body of FICCI. it absolutely was

 Padma Shri

The selection criteria have been criticized in certain areas, claiming that
many very valuable artists have been excluded and that it is beneficial to
some people.

can be nominated to recommend candidates for the annual Padma
Citizenship Award. The front has the meaning of "Padma" (lotus in
Sanskrit) and "Sri" (honorary equivalent derived from Sanskrit). Mr. or

Ministry and are honoured for their "good performance in the field of
sports over a period of four years" at international level and for having
shown "qualities of leadership, sportsmanship and a sense of discipline."

As of 2020, the award comprises "a bronze statuette of Arjuna, certificate,


ceremonial dress, and a cash prize of ₹15 lakh (US$21,000)."

Instituted in 1961 to honour the outstanding sportspersons of the


country, the award over the years has undergone a number of expansions,
reviews and rationalizations. The award was expanded to include all the
recognised disciplines in 1977, has introduced indigenous games and
physically handicapped categories in 1995 and introduced a lifetime
contribution category in 1995 leading to creation of a separate Dhyan
Chand Award in 2002.The latest revision in 2018 stipulates that the
award is given only to the disciplines included in the events like Olympic
Games, Paralympic Games, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, World
Championship and World Cup along with Cricket, Indigenous Games,
and Parasports. It also recommends giving only fifteen awards in an
exceedingly year, restful just in case of wonderful performance in
major multi-sport events, team sports, across gender and gifting away of a
minimum of one award to physically challenged category.
