ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
Youth for the Environment School Organization (Yes-O)
2018-2019
Environmental awareness is to understand the fragility of our environment and the importance of its protection.
Promoting environmental awareness in an easy way to become an environmental steward and participate in creating a
brighter future for our children. Environmental awareness is an integral part of the movement’s success. By teaching our
learners that the physical environment is fragile and indispensable we can begin fixing the problems that threaten it.
This year is another worthy and meaningful not only to me as the Yes-O adviser but to all the learners and
parents who rendered their services and participated for this organization to successfully implement its projects and
activities. During the first month of this school year the officers were elected and it was explained to them how
important their roles are not only to our school but even to our community as well. The Elected officers were Joemarie S
Datuin as the President and at the same time the ambassador of nature Jessapearl O. Datuin as Vice President. Angel S.
Abad Secretary Precious Ruthlaine B. Allapitan as treasurer Celien Joy O Malana, Auditor Princess Dannica O Menor as
PIO Christine Faye Icobeza and Magtanggol V. Zurbano as as the peace officers
The improvement and maintenance of the Yes-O Park were always done every month. We ask the help of pupils’
parents in doing it. We were able to plant herbal and ornamental plants around and inside the park. Every vacant period,
the pupils manage to clean and maintain its cleanliness and beautification. We also had regular meetings and discussed
on our projects. The pupils brought different plants seeds seedlings and materials to use in planting such as wheels
empty cans and bottles and even cleaning materials just to have beautiful one. The unused wheels and empty bottles
where we put our pants made it more attractive. Film viewing activities were also done. The intermediate grades
watched different environmental campaigns and video clips on how to help save our environment. They were very
overwhelmed. They came up with the realizations that if we will not stop from our wrong doings, then unfortunately
triggering climate change and global warming will be having a greater impact.
To develop deeper awareness on state of our environment using the significant issues and concerns we also had
various activities such as poster making quiz slogan and essay writing.it was excellent activity that the children had so much
fun. We even join district competitions and earn awards up to the area level contest. We will always join hands together for
the sake of saving our environment. This is the right thing to do and we must put our hearts that it is indeed our mission to
make the world a healthy and a comfortable place to live in
