EMBRACING THE MODERN METHODOLOGY

This pandemic has brought drastic change among all of us. No one’s prepared for this kind of
change because it came in abruptly. We had places that are being crowded all the time to being
uncongested in order to observe social distancing. The malls before were fully air-conditioned but
now some establishments has opt to turn it off in order to maintain body temperature. Wearing
make-up is no longer practical since our faces will now be covered with mask and face shield. It has
been a practice after work or after class Having fun being with a talkative classmates after class to not
seeing them because we are now in a distance way of learning. Events like these were put into a
memory since we cannot do anything about it and given that our enemy is invisible.

Teachers from my school were explaining to our parents about the situation and the solution
to it. We all know that this is cannot be controlled by human mind and strength, so our dear teachers
come up with a brilliant idea that will not hinder the education of all students. They come up with the
printing of modules in where they will be giving us an answer sheet to put all our answers there and
the most brilliant one, the TELEVISION BASED INSTRUCTION/RADIO BASED INSTRUCTION.

This kind of method is a great way in addressing the situation we are in. In here, we learn by
watching and hearing them delivering a lesson on the television and on the radio. At first, I was very
sad knowing that I cannot talk with my teacher personally and cannot share my answers orally since I
love answering questions of my teachers. As time goes by, I slowly adapt and understand the situation
because the danger that the COVID-19 brings is still studied by the doctors and we cannot just put this
on a joke.

So far the TVBI and RBI has let me remember teachings very well since it was aired on
television and on the radio, the sound effects helped me to remember all of it. Last year, I only
watched entertainment shows but now I am more hooked since it’s all about our lessons. This
method helped me to gain knowledge everyday and in a modern way. I am very thankful to my
teachers and to the people behind the idea of teaching on air.
