PROLOGUE
In 2019, there was a disease that has caused so
many problems to the world. What is this disease?,
where does it come from?, and what are the
causes of this disease?. Well, this infectious
disease is called Covid-19 that is caused by a
severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (
SARS-CoV-2 ). The spread of this virus was first
identified from Wuhan, China in December 2019.
This contagious virus has spread worldwide and
causes a pandemic and that means a widespread
virus outbreak that involves the majority of
countries in the world.

So, because of this easily infectious virus, most of

the countries that were affected by this virus have
been advised by the World Health Organization to
carry out a lockdown that will prevent this virus
from infecting the peoples by ordering the peoples
to stay at their own home . Because of the
lockdown, most of the activity that involves many
people will be restricted including school. Students
are not allowed to go to school to prevent the virus
from spreading and the students and teacher need
to do their learning activity online instead.

My experience from school life during the

pandemic are just fair because there are things
that make online schooling interesting and
there are also disadvantages of online
schooling. In the first three month of the covid-
19 spreading in Malaysia, my school didn't have
any online learning activity because the Ministry
of Education at that time also didn't really
prepare for this pandemic situation. This kind of
situation is actually not good for the students in
Malaysia because the students will lose what
they have learned before the covid-19
spreadness and the time taken to finish the
subject syllabus will be lengthened. There's also
some schools that have come up with solutions
earlier before receiving the Ministry of
education solution of learning activity when a
pandemic occurs.

For me, there are lots of interesting things about
this online learning and there's also lots of
disadvantages of it.
From my experiences, I like online school learning
because the learning activity can be done
anywhere and anytime. For example, my teachers
used to teach our classes using a variety of online
platforms such as google meets, telegram and
many more. So, this gave me more flexibility in time
management because my teachers will tell when
they will do their online classes and mostly it will
not start too early in the morning like when you go
to school. In addition, I can do more activities that
can boost my energy for the day in the morning
such as doing some physical exercise.
Furthermore, what I find interesting in online
learning is that I can find additional information
about the topics or subjects that my teachers are
going to teach our class. For example,I can prepare
by reading through the topics or taking additional
notes before my teachers teach me. So I will easily
understand what my teachers educate me on that
day.

There are also some disadvantages that I have

experienced from online learning during the
pandemic. The disadvantages that I have
experienced is to be 100% focused on the classes
when my teachers are teaching. The reason this
thing happens is because of the distraction that I
will get when I am at my home. For example,
sometimes I get distracted by my phone during the
classes. If the class is face to face, this situation is
usually hard to happen because my teacher will
always check his or her students. Moreover, the
disadvantages that I have experienced from online
learning is that it causes me to be a self isolated
person. For example, I used to be in my room for
like a day to minimize the environmental
distractions and focus on my teacher’s lectures.
This situation has lessened my socializing with
other peoples and has decreased my social skills
that caused a hard time for me to socialize with
peoples.
