May I request that I will be permitted to conduct an Action Research entitled: PUPILS
ABSENTEEISM: Causes of Absenteeism of Grade 2 Daffodil and Grade 2 Camia of Potenciano A.
Abejero Elementary School for SY- 2016-2017.

The objectives of this research are:

1. To identify the causes of absenteeism of Grade 2 Section Daffodil and Grade 2 Section Camia
of Potenciano A. Abejero ES for SY- 2016-2017.
2. To lessen if not eradicate absenteeism among the pupils of these two sections by rigid home
visitation, dialogue, and counselling.
3. To involve parents of the said pupils to have positive attitude by giving education a high
priority and by encouraging their children to study, to do their homeworks and find time to
monitor pupils’ learning achievements in school especially their children attendance.

Attached is the Action Research Proposal.
