COURSE TITLE: CDI 8 Vice and Drug Education and Control

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course will talk about the different kinds of human vices
and the different kinds of drugs. It will deal on the Sociological, Psychological, and
Physiological perspectives and dimensions on the effects of drug use and abuse, and
the social development of vices. It will also cover on the different laws governing,
regulating and prohibiting drugs and vices. The enforcement of these different laws,
relevant jurisprudence, the investigation, gathering of evidence, arrest and seizure of
drugs and vices.

Hallucinogenic drugs; SHABU, Ecstasy,
Cocaine and other Stimulating Drugs;
Opiates and all derivative of Opium and
other Narcotic Drugs; Sedatives and all
Depressant drugs. All other Drugs Declared
by R.A. 9165 as amended and those that
are included by the Dangerous Drugs
Board.

⮚ Drug prevention programs and Law


Enforcement efforts (PDEA, E.O. 218 s.
2003; E.O. 15 s. 2017, The PNP Drug
Enforcement Group, others)

⮚ Law enforcement operative’s knowledge on


Planting of Evidence, Bungling of Case,
Unlawful Arrest, Arbitrary Detention, Illegal
Search and Seizure and other provisions of
the law and their respective penal sanctions.

⮚ Law Enforcement operations procedures,


Investigation, Forensic and Chemical
Testing. Evidence needed in the
prosecution of relevant provisions of R.A.
9165 as amended by R.A. 10640, Rights of
the persons arrested, detained and
