DEMOCRACY
“Democracy”

Democracy is a derivation from two Greek terms “Demos” and “Kratos”. The
former word means the people and the latter word means power. So democracy means
“power of the people”. In democracy the preeminent factor is the people. There the
government is run by the people and the main concern is the welfare of the people.
Democracy has a great educative force, because it strives for the development of the
personality of the citizens. So democracy is not only a form of government but a kind of
upgraded society. It is a system of government where citizens are allowed to participate
in the proposal and creation of laws. Throughout history, different places have had
different forms of democracy. Two of the most common forms of democratic
government are direct democracy and indirect or representative democracy. In a direct
democracy, citizens are directly involved with creating laws, and in indirect democracy,
citizens elect representatives who create laws on their behalf.

The role of the citizen in a democracy is one of the essential features of the
government to enlightenment the citizens. This enlightened outlook enables the citizens
to have meaningful participation in the democratic process. This participation may be
positive by supporting the government in power. It may also take a negative form by
protesting and opposing the government in power. This participation may be at various
levels of involvement. In order to make the participation effective and bring in a real
input in the system, there should be freedom of expression. The freedom of the press
and the mass communication media should become forums for free expression of
views. The right to protest against the action of the government is a fundamental right
and proper assertion of this right keeps the government on the democratic path of not
only being responsible but also responsive.

In democracy the citizen should have a certain right to have their own beliefs and
to say and write what you think. It has a freedom religion in which everyone is free to
choose of their own religion and to worship and practice their religion as they see fit. In
every individual they must have right to enjoy its own culture along with other members.
And also all citizens are equal under the law. No one may be discriminated against the
basis of their race, religion, ethics groups and genders. There’s a lot of right can state
that cannot take away for citizen. Just like what we said that “It’s a free country you can
do what you want’’ you have your own rights to choose and make own decision

It also have a rule of laws in democracy which is to protect the rights of citizens
maintain order and limit the power of government. There’s no ruler, minister, or political
party can tell a judge to how to decide the case. They have must also observe the
certain principles and rules of democratic conduct by respecting and reject the violence.
Every citizen should learn and participate peacefully and respect the rights of his or her
others fellow citizens.
ICT
“ICT”

ICT stands for Information and Communication technologies it is a notation used

to summaries technologies, which consist of devices to collect, store, edit and transfer
information in various forms. As a matter of fact, we are living in a constantly evolving
digital world. ICT has an impact on nearly every aspect of our lives from working to
socializing, learning to playing. The digital age has transformed the way young people
communicate, network, seek help, access information and learn. We must recognize
that young people are now an online population and access is through a variety of
means such as computers, TV and mobile phones. ICT is one of the economic
development pillars to gain national competitive advantage. It can improve the quality of
human life because it can be used as a learning and education media, the mass
communication media in promoting and campaigning practical and important issues,
such as the health and social area. It provides wider knowledge and can help in gaining
and accessing information. ICT has become an integral part of everyday life for many
people. It increases its importance in people’s lives and it is expected that this trend will
continue, to the extent that ICT literacy will become a functional requirement for
people’s work, social, and personal lives. ICT have many benefits in healthcare,
education, communication and business.
ICT is a key factor that plays a large role in the day-to-day activities within the
health care sector. It is generated and processed by health care providers, such as
physicians, nurses and hospitals as they provide care to their patients. However,
managing that information and using it productively poses an ongoing challenge. It is
especially challenging in the complexity of all health care sector, with its many different
types of providers, services and settings for care. ICT can play a critical role in
improving health care for individuals and communities. It can also transform informal
regulation by providing people with the knowledge they require to challenge existing
practices and make more rational health care choices. ICT used in the health sector
have well-known advantages. They can promote patient-centered healthcare, improve
quality of care, and educate health professionals and patients. However,
implementation of ICTs is new development in technology it remains difficult and
involves changes at different levels: patients, healthcare providers.
It is in this premise that educational technology and e-learning is taught in or out
of the classroom since educational technology is used by learners and educators in
homes, schools, businesses, and other settings. ICT allows students to access to
information online shared by people all around the world, this allow them to get a better
understanding. Also, allows students to research and have more understanding of
certain topics, which allows them to get more learning. Additionally, the use of ICT in
education add value in teaching and learning, by enhancing the effectiveness of
learning, or by adding a dimension to learning that was not previously available. ICT
may also be a significant motivational factor in students’ learning, and can support
students’ engagement with collaborative learning.
ICT has a great impact in our daily lives in communications for those people who
able to communicate immediately with other people thousands of miles away. For
example, we can read our local newspaper using the online newspaper. Another
example is we still can get connected with our family, relatives, or colleagues even if we
are abroad by using the electronic mail, yahoo messenger, call conference, or video
conference. Digital computer and networking has changed our economy concept to the
economy with no boundary in time and space because of ICT. It brings a lot of
advantages for economic development enabling millions of transactions to happen in an
easy and fast way.
ICT has an important role in the world since we are now in the information age
era. With ICT, the company can make the business easier to happen with the client,
supplier and the distributor. It is also very important in our daily lives. The lack of
appropriate information at the right time will result in low productivity, low quality
research works, and waste of time to pursue information and even to do research which
actually others had done or in other countries. Nowadays ICT cannot be separated with
our daily needs. Through every business set-up that ICT are influencing production,
work and business methods and trade and consumption patterns in and between
enterprises and consumers that every business must bring into their business operation
and take advantage of the benefits they offer. The emergence of and advances in
information communications technology offers opportunities.
