-Read engine scheduled maintenance report (SMR) for unlimited faults.
-Remove, Inspect and Replace Fuel Filter element.
-Specify the purpose of the “Rating” or “Identification” plug.
-Identify Engine Driven Pump & its specifications.

structure.
-Assist in detailed inspection of Thrust Reverser, Actuator fittings, and

(1 HOUR) -Assist in detailed inspection of thrust reverser, FWD Vee blade.
-Assist in Operational Test of the thrust reverser system .

-Accessory gearbox scavenge.
-Aft sump scavenge.
-Remove and discard scavenge filter.
-Assist in operational check of the master chip detector remote indication.

(1 HOUR) -Check oil quantity level, refill to correct level, if necessary.

(3 HOURS) - Familiarization with the provision for manual assisted starting in the event
of a start valve solenoid failure.
-Check chip collector for particles.
-Clean pneumatic starter valve filter.

(3 HOURS) -Assist in Operational test of APU .
- Familiarization with the protection systems used on auxiliary/ground
power units.

(3 HOURS) -State the basic requirements, arrangements and principles of operation of
the following. a. Integrated drive generators (IDG)
-Check / Inspect Magnetic Chip Detector
-General visual inspection of gearbox mounting links and attachment.

(3 HOURS) -State the use of engine stands, lifting devices and lifting points.

 -Assist in detailed inspection of forward and Aft engine mount installation.
15.20 21-07-2021 Fire Protection 03
(3 HOURS) - Familiarization with the construction, layout and principles of operation of
the fire surveillance systems.
- Familiarization with the action to be taken by both the flight and ground
crews when a fire occurs in the gas path of an engine during start-up. Have
particular regard for the requirement to maintain starter motor operation.
-Specify the requirements for engine cleaning after the use of extinguishing
agents on an engine fire

(2 HOURS) -Determine potential damage that could occur to an engine resulting from
