CONSTRUCTION PERIOD: 6 months (Started date: 28/04/2021)

CONFERRED WITH : Mr. Kurulatharasan – Site Engineer

PROJECT : This project is basically to construct spill and culverts. There are
7 nos. of culvers have to be construct. Spill of the Akkarayan tank
has to be constructed by the concrete structure and length of the
spill is 184 m. Culverts are located away from the tank site.

WORK DONE : Spill of the Akkarayan tank was completed at the time of
inspection. Spill was made by the concrete structure for 184 m
length.

WORK TO BE DONE : There are 7 nos. of culverts has to be constructed. Those culverts
are channel to the paddy field.

RISK TO THIRD PARTY : There are small no. of third-party houses around the culvert
construction sites. Since vibrations are not implemented by high
scale, third-party risk is minimized.

FLOOD RISK : Due to nature of the construction, flood risk can be considered
as high. During month of October, high rainfall can be expected
for this place than other months of the year. Therefore, high flood
risk can be expected during this month.

PROJECT PROGRESS : It can be considered as 55% progress percentage at the time of


inspection.
COMMENTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS :

⚫ Cofferdam walls should be excluded if they constructed.


⚫ It is advisable to take necessary safety precautions in order to protect the construction
materials and equipment.
⚫ Impose adequate policy excess towards the flood peril.
⚫ Collect a Detailed inventory of the machinery and the equipment covered.
⚫ Approved BOQ is to be obtained.
