• Branch Change CGPA Criteria for 4 Year Programme is 9.8 for CSE.
• 8 CGPA for CSE after 1 Year Course in case of M.Sc.+B.Tech

4-Year vs 5-Year Dilemma

• If you have no idea about what to do, take a 4 year course as 5 year is
too expensive.
• However, if you aren’t getting CSE/ ECE/ Electrical, you can go for a 5
Year Course if it fits your budget.
• Lower Branch at BITS Pilani vs Good Branch at BITS Goa? Go for BITS
Goa, because you’ll eventually get a BITS Pilani ka degree. Hostels are
better in BITS Goa when compared to BITS Pilani.
• However, if you want to stay in a more ambitious crowd, go for BITS
Pilani.
Sports Facilities:
• The college has provided excellent facilities for the propagation and
popularisation of sports.
• There are 4 Wooden Badminton courts for training, they’re very
beautiful.
• There is also a Squash court, Cricket Pitch, 2 Basketball Courts, Table
Tennis court, Taekwondo Room, Chess and Carrom Rooms and Pool
Table as well.
• It also has excellent gymnasium facility and many indoor games for
students to indulge. Swimming Pool is being built, isn’t complete as of
July 2020.
• Other sports facilities include- Basketball Court, Cricket nets, Football
Court, Volleyball courts, Futsal, Tennis courts

• Every year 30% of students get fee waivers from 25% to 100%

• Highest package offered was 78 Lakhs International Package whereas
average salary was 11.47 lakhs.
• Average CSE Package last year was around 21.5 Lakhs, ECE was 17 LPA.

Hostel:
• The institute is fully residential, has spacious rooms for students
• Official Curfew Timings are 10 PM, but nobody actually cares what
you’re doing in BITS Goa
• Mast hostels. There are 4 sides: A side, B dome, C side, D side. D side
is newly built
• D Hostel is given to 1st years. Double Rooms which are very spacious
• 2 almirah, 2 beds, 2 tables
• There are separate hostels for boys and girls
• Girls ka CH7 Hostel, double seater
• There are a total of 4 hostels for B.Tech. First Year Students
• No AC in the Hostels, which can be a negative for some, but students
generally don’t feel the need
• Very pleasant weather, like a romantic movie😍
• Hostel Common Rooms are equipped with recreational facilities like
Table Tennis, Carrom along with LED TV with Dish connection and
telephones
• There is 24*7 Wi-Fi facility: 3 GB per day-50 Mbps LAN,
• Hot/cold water available for use, washrooms are hygienic, laundry is
available
Hostel Mess:
• Hostels offer good food variety
• There are three large sized dining halls with a seating capacity of 1200
students at a time.
• All messes are highly hygienic and very clean equipped with excellent
furniture and different mess contractors
• There is provision for both Jain and Non-Jain Students
• Non-Veg is served 3 times in a week, with special food served every
Sunday and on festivals
• Eggs everyday in the morning, however, there are long queues in D
Hostel, the administration is still trying to fix this
• There is also a night canteen at subsidized rates which has Soft Drinks,
Maggie, Dosa, Chinese, etc.
• There are 6 food outlets where students can munch on anytime. Burger
King ki Copy, CCD, Subway ki Copy, Red Chilli’s sab kuch hai!🔥

Facilities:

• There is a student activity centre (SAC) of 37,000 sq. feet which has both
indoor and outdoor recreational facilities, sports, gym, etc.
• There is a shopping complex inside the campus which provides the
facilities of a supermarket
• There is also a gents’ salon and beauty parlour for girls.
• There is a modern gymnasium, a prayer room, and a dance room as well
• BITS has a number of well-equipped laboratories with state of the art
facilities
• The campus library has several creatively built seating halls

Why You shouldn’t join BITS Goa?

• High fees is the biggest disadvantage. ROI is still good though.
• “Goa vale beach pe aish karenge vro” vali expectations mat rakhna,
kat jayega
• Ek unpaid internship compulsory hoti hai, PS1 kehte hain use. They
charge 60,000 bucks for this unpaid internship
• If you’re in Electrical Engineering, the administration won’t let you
take CSE Courses
Cultural Fest:
• Annual cultural college fest is called WAVES
• With a footfall of over 40,000 recorded in recent editions, it is one of
the leading college festivals in the country.
• There are many events in various categories like Dance, Drama,
Literature, Comedy, Fashion and Music. with every night in the three-
night festival dedicated to a different genre. Zakir Khan, The Local
Train, Farhan Akhtar, Biswa have performed here.
