The PD 1006 , Ra 7836, and RA9293 help us become professional teacher as it recognizes the
teaching profession having a vital role in nation building. These laws that were published help teachers
be recognized as professionals. It acknowledges our worth as teachers in the local and national area.
Anyone can teach but the existence of these laws allows the teaching and learning community to be
recognized as formal schooling. Without these laws, the teaching profession is not as regarded as it is
today. It is thanks to these laws that the Philippines developed such quality education as of today which
came from a long history of changes.

Under PD 1006, EDCOM noticed the lacking performance and regards to the teaching
professions like their training. The teachers today are the fruit of the laws that had amendment as
changes are deemed necessary. The necessary qualifications to be teacher was established and raised
the standards of being a teacher as profession. The state deems the teaching profession as important
that it takes the teachers’ needs for training and qualifications into account. This established the board
exams which helps the teaching as profession to be honored.

The Continuing Professional Development for teachers establishes the merits a teacher will have
to work to further pursue his/her teaching career. This program provides a platform for teachers to work
on their passion for teaching and be given the corresponding benefits as they progress on their career.
The teaching profession really is a mission that never ends. It enables students to be nurtured and
educated while also enables the teacher to improve as well.

With the laws established, the teaching profession has a well-functioning system to follow. This
system maintains and balances the teaching community on the whole nation. The recognition of
teachers’ rights , obligations , needs and wants have reached the government. With these, all teachers
can feel safe and have the freedom to teach. The licensed teacher is subjected to all the benefits that
they deserve as they serve the country and mold the youths.

The government bodies like CHED, TESDA, and DepEd are entities that strives continuously to
make the education of such quality today. The National Board for teachers and the said entities serve
the interests of both the teaching and learning community.

These laws helps us teachers not just to be recognized as professionals but also to serve the
interests that benefits the teacher, the students , and the country. Teaching is truly a noble profession
that is very vital to the development of man and society. As a future teacher, we must uphold to our
duties and responsibilities that comes with our profession along with the trials and triumphs. I solemnly
promise to take the teaching profession as my mission in life , to educate the students and bring change
to their life.
