Mission

Stop global warming by the generation of clean energy with geothermal

 We believe that the solution to our energy problems

lies directly under our feet – in geothermal energy.

 Exorka International Limited is a specialist developer

of low-temperature geothermal electricity generation.

 It is our target to play a major role in the fight against

global warming by the input of our know-how,
our technology and our commitment.

Our Mission

The Power of Daldrup

 We hold a world leadership position in

Kalina power cycle generation, the most efficient cycle
for electricity generation from low-temperature resources.

 We combine the merits of our heritage in Iceland

and New Zealand, both leading countries
in geothermal generation with the best in German
engineering and environmental initiatives

Our Mission

Geothermal electricity for a clean future

 Daldrup plans to develop many medium scale (5 MW)

geothermal projects.

 Under the EEG (Renewable Energy Act) legislation in

Germany, there are strong incentives for geothermal
development including priority grid connection and a
tariff of 0,25 € per.

 Additional income can be generated by selling the heat.

Our Business

Exorka uses a five stage development plan:

 Exploration: Collection of all available geological and geophysical data to identify where suitable sites are for
geothermal development. Implementation of seismic surveys.

 Prefeasibility study and financing of drilling: Planning and permitting. Geology is naturally critical, but of
equal importance is ensuring that local regulations and permitting rules are complied with. This phase includes
also the well design and procurement.

 Drilling and testing: Daldrup’s engineers and planners start work many months before a drill rig appears on
site. After the drilling extensive well testing takes place. And despite the best geo-science, not all wells are
entirely successful.

 Power plant design and construction: Once wells have been successfully drilled and tested, Daldrup can
start procurement and construction of the Kalina power plant. This phase takes about 18 months.

 Power plant development and operation: After completion and commissioning, the power plant and wells
will continue to generate clean electricity for fifteen years or more. The electricity is exported to the national
high voltage distribution network.

Exploration – DMT GmbH

 In late 2007, Daldrup carried out one of the largest seismic surveys ever in Germany for geothermal
exploration. The survey covered approximately 150 line kilometres stretching over four claims in the Bavarian
Molasse Basin.

 The survey uses modern high resolution 2-D vibroseismic, targeted on the Malm limestone formation at a depth
of approximately 3.500 meters.

 Daldrup contracted with DMT to conduct the survey,

which was completed safely and in compliance
with all regulatory measures.

 The development of a claim until drillling can be

commenced is a long procedure that takes usually
two years.

Prefeasibility Study

 Daldrup‘s geologists and project developer provide

a prefeasibility study including a geological summary
and also a first estimation of the costs of the project.

 The design of the geothermal wells is slightly different

to oil and gas wells. The telescoping geothermal wells
have a bigger final bore.

 The drilling rig must be contracted and also the drilling

crew together with the required drilling services.

Drilling and Testing

 When the above-mentioned preparation phase has come to an end, we are ready to commence drilling
operations.

 Prior to the construction of the drill pad an all-weather

site access road has to be built in most cases.

 Drilling proceeds vertically, diagonally and horizontally

(directional drilling).

 The completion of the first well is followed by a pump

test. This test is carried out in order to verify if the
anticipated flow rate from the geothermal reservoir
can be extracted. Prior to such a pump test the
borehole is stimulated in most of the cases in order
to improve the porosity of the reservoir.

 Daldrup & Söhne AG is a publicly traded company that specializes

in planning and conducting geothermal drillings.

 Daldrup & Söhne AG is focused on the developement, planning

and provision of wide ranging drilling and environmental
services.

 Daldrup & Söhne AG is very experienced in the planning and

Power plant construction

 If the pump tests of the successive wells

also deliver the expected results, construction of
the power plant begins.

 Daldrup applies an unique technology for its power

plants – the Kalina power cycle.

 Daldrup builds power plants with a capacity of about

5 MW; this is engouh to supply 10,000 households with
electricity. Project costs for one power plant are
amounting to €45 million.
