Introduction
This assessment task is the first of two tasks you are required to complete as part of this
unitBSBWOR502 Lead and manage team effectiveness. Students are reminded:
 To achieve a Satisfactory (S) result you will need to attempt allquestions.
 Unanswered questions will cause the assessment to be Not Yet Satisfactory (NYS).
 A NYS assessment will need to be re-submitted before the end of the term.
 You are required to attend the Assessment Intervention Program (AIP) in Week 11 for any NYS
resulted assessment or assessments
 Any assessment not attempted will be recorded as a withdrawn.
 By not achieving Satisfactory (S) result in all your assessments in the term you are at risk of not
completing your course.
 Assessments are graded using the following guidelines:
o If you do not submit an assessment you will be graded as Not Attempted (NA)
o Any percentage result under 50% will be graded as Not Yet Satisfactory (NYS)
o Any percentage result equal to or higher than 50% will be graded as Satisfactory (S)

1. Team dynamics can either support or hinder the performance of a team. Explain the three
advantages and three disadvantages teams can have on business performance.
In your response, consider factors such as personalities, relationships, productivity and decision
making.

Have a rips of kinds of dynamic groups. So, if it is negative/poor probably the team gonna feel not
motivated but if the manager can improve your team been consistent, positive and putting his self
to help them , everyone can grow together and be inside of all plans. So, employees will feel reward,
valued and important

Improving group dynamics:

Develop strategies to ensure team members have input into planning, decision making and
operational aspects of work team

Establish a team perform plan – so, everybody will “ swim” in the same direction. Helping each
other, be proactive and motivate to work

5. Using three to four sentences, explain a strategy you could use to resolve conflict relating to
personality clashes and/or relationship issues.

First step that we should follow is: avoid discussing the issue with other colleagues because
everybody can get into it; second respond immediately to the person who is on top of you, after look
in the mirror questioning what you have done wrong, what you can do better?, reframe the situation
, try to put yourself out, focus on the other persons strengths , and also use corporative
behavior/communication
