A) COURSE OVERVIEW: This course examines the administrative skills and basic
management principles needed for the running of an average radio or television station or both. It
also examines programmes and programming; station marketing techniques and the basics of
media management.
B) COURSE OBJECTIVES: At the end of this course, the students are expected to be able to
know:
Identify what it takes to establish a broadcast station
Outline the administrative skills to run a broadcast station
Articulate broadcast programmes
Be able to market a broadcast station
