PREFACE

Welcome to our journey through a new learning modality this

school year 2020-2021. As we embark on a new normal of teaching-
learning, you will be able to learn and apply lessons in life that are
important for your holistic development. In the midst of the challenges
that we are facing these days, we consider your welfare our utmost
priority. Thus, this mode of instruction is realized to guide you easily and
help you understand the topics in all learning areas. Let us navigate
together to unlock the learnings found in this material.

Each module contains the lesson/s that you will explore together
with the learning objectives that are listed at the beginning to serve
as your guide on the things that you are expected to learn and
understand. You are then provided with a substantial amount of
explanations, examples, and exercises that will direct you to the path
of understanding, respond to your curiosity, and shed light on your
uncertainties. Hence, you will find your textbooks and other available
resources significant to your study and learning. As each week
concludes, we anticipate your participation in the assessment of your
progress and we are excited to see how skilled and well- informed you
are turning to be.

We trust that as we work together to continue to enrich our

knowledge, learn new skills, and develop our potentials through these
modules, our efforts will be far bigger and brighter than the fears and
pressures this current health crisis brings. We believe that you can do
it. We can do it! We will make a way to battle these challenges and
continue to prosper in our learning endeavors.

May this school year bring you exciting opportunities as you

uncover the lessons these modules provide. See you in each lesson
and happy learning! 

MESSAGE TO PARENTS
Dear Parent,

We express our sincere appreciation to you, our partners, for your

unwavering support amidst the changes that we are currently
experiencing. The journey for school year 2020-2021 has begun. It was
not an easy start. Nevertheless, learning shall continue as the university
does its part to ensure that no student shall be left behind while face-
to-face classes are not permissible.

A variety of teaching-learning modalities are being utilized to

meet the diverse needs of our learners. One of these is the self-
directed learning using modules as learning materials. This module
represents the teachers since we will not be there physically to teach
your children. In this time where remote learning is essential, your role
as your children’s guide is vital. Please understand that this does not
mean that we are fully passing on to you the responsibility of teaching
your children. Your participation in monitoring their progress will be a
big help to ensure that the learners are attaining the desired
competencies of their learning plan.

We are looking forward to working hand in hand with you as we

embrace the ‘new normal’ mode of teaching and learning. May the
Lord guide and protect us all.

- TEACHER
