TOPIC: Lesson 3: Folklore from Central Africa

Objectives:

A. Content Standards: The students demonstrate understanding of: African literature as a


means of exploring forces that human beings contend with; various reading styles vis-à-vis
purposes of reading prosodic features that serve as carriers of meaning; ways by which information
may be organized, related, and delivered orally; and parallel structures and cohesive devices in
presenting information

B. Performance Standards: The Students transfer learning by composing and delivering an


informative speech based on a specific topic of interest keeping in mind the proper and effective
use of parallel structures and cohesive devices and appropriate prosodic features, stance, and
behavior

Procedure:

Session 1: The learners will read the story The Leopard and answer the guide questions on their notebook
Discussion and checking of the guide questions.
The learners will determine the moral of the story and will connect it to real life situations

Session 2: Practical Spoken English Program

Session 3: The learners will present in front their re-enactment of the story The Leopard
