As their titles suggest, both texts discuss two techniques for stress relief: drinking a cup of tea and
doing yoga.

The first extract describes the emotional benefits offered by tea, highlighting properties particularly
found in green and white tea, which make them especially suitable for relaxation. What is more, it
finishes by adding the fact that they contain a certain substance able to produce a feeling of
calmness, yet is not considered drowsiness. The second text advocates taking up yoga as a
physical means of relieving the long-term effects of stress, making emphasis on those who find it
difficult to feel motivated. However, it advises caution in choosing the right type of yoga, as some
demand higher physical conditions when a gentler approach is preferable for dealing with chronic
stress. Consulting to an expert when needed is also proposed.

Although the first text compiles clear facts about tea drinking, I personally believe other important
aspects are overlooked. Not only does tea help reducing stress, but is also a great alternative to
coffee. This beverage is calorie-free – when drank plainly – so the amount of tea intake in a day is
basically limitless. As for doing yoga, to my mind, already fit people should not be excluded from
this activity, since they could also find it beneficial. I believe power yoga would be the most suitable
option for those who sick challenging workouts, reaching a stress-free state as a result.

In conclusion, having a cup of tea and doing yoga are techniques proven to be highly effective.
They can have a long-lasting impact on people’s well-being as long as they are carried out
regularly.
