DNA to Protein Worksheet


Directions: Below are five (5) different DNA sequences:

 First, in the DNA row of each table, rewrite the sequence in the form of three (3) bases per box.
 Second, transcribe the DNA sequence into an mRNA sequence and record in the second row of each
table. Each box should have three (3) bases (one codon).
 Third, indicate what the anticodon on the tRNA would be and write each sequence in the third row.
 Finally, use the mRNA sequence to determine what amino acid each codon codes for. Use the chart on
the back of this worksheet to complete this step.
