TALKING ABOUT YOUR JOB

Jaime: Hello good afternoon Clary, how’s it going?

Clary: Hello Jaime so far so good and nice to meet you.

Jaime: Nice to meet you too, tell me, what do you do for living?

Clary: Well, I am a secretary in a cooperative, I make reports, I attend meetings, I make

minutes of meetings, Digit documents, I make copies and I scan documents and many other

things. Currently I am dedicated to being a secretary but I study marketing as well. What about

you, what is your job?

Jaime: Well, I am currently working for a call center attending calls, what I do is simple

resolve issues to customers who have trouble with their products, specifically I work for

Amazon company account, as mention before, resolving issues with delay purchases.

Clary: That’s awesome Jaime, and how about you Evelin, what do you do for living?

Evelin: Well, my family have a business of selling biosecurity protection like mask, gloves,

stuff like that.

Jennifer: That’s awesome Evelin, now days it’s very important take care ourselves.

Evelin: Yeah!! I know, what about you girls what do you do for living?

Jennifer: Well, I´m working in a family business about electro domestics and everything

related with Household products, I help them with sells I´m in charge of post every product in

social media and I talk with the customer about the different prices, about the benefits and

quality and then my father takes the product to the customer, I also help my father in the

financial area. How About you Cristela, what is your job?

Cristela: That’s awesome Jennifer, well, I work in an insurance brokerage. I attend to car

accidents, since the insured go to the car workshops to prepare a damage budget. We are in

contact with the car workshops until they send the damage budget to the insurance company.

Then, I verify that the insurers authorize the cars repairs according to the conditions of the

insurance policy contract. Finally, I attend the process of cars repairs and delivery of the spare

parts. And what about you Aracely, what do you do for living?

Aracely: Wow Cristela you have an awesome job. Well, I am dedicated for teaching, I am a

teacher of basic education, I like to work with children and teenagers because they are the

future of the country, there are also I have small problems when agreeing with parents in

meetings and with this online modality has been a little difficult for resources because it is a

school and is strict for teachers. What about you Wendy, what do you do for living?

Wendy: Well, I work in a shopping center, in the children's department. Some of my activities:

customer assistance, sale of clothing, accessories and furniture for babies (cots, car seats,

strollers).
