In today's world the need for best works force and cut throat competition in business has
transformed the recruitment process. which in turn has brought new and innovative
methods of selections. So we’re going to discuss modern ways of selection in HR world .

everyday recruiters are flooded with hundreds of resume for various job advertised, now
they have this huge responsibility of selecting the right top talent for the company and the
right company for the candidate. it is virtually impossible for recruiter to scan each resume
manually and shortlisted .this is where the applicant tracking systems come into the picture

An Applicant Tracking System is a recruiting tool that helps to organize,


automate, and oversee the recruitment and hiring process. The software
can make the recruiter’s job easier by helping them stay in touch with the
right candidates at the right time.
ATS collect applications and resumes, then score each candidate to show
who best fits the organization needs. It also keep track of where different
applicants are in the hiring process.

ATS can manage the whole cycle of recruitment process from job posting ,
collecting all the resumes and application , scheduling interviews till
onboarding a new onboarding on single dashboard .
In selection process ATS is able to comb through resumes to find the
best applicants , helping the HR team avoid spending hours and
hours weeding out unqualified candidates.

 ATS also keeps a data base of all the resumes and application for future openings.

where machine learning can learn to shortlist your ideal candidate, as well as automate
manual tasks in the recruitment process.
One such example of AI tool used in selection process is face scanning algorithm , t he
system uses candidates’ computer or cellphone cameras to analyze their
facial movements, word choice and speaking voice before ranking them
against other applicants based on an automatically generated
“employability” score With the help of this score HR can determine the
best person for the job.

And Companies like Goldman sach and Unilever leverage this tool to
support their talent management teams.

Chatbots
Recruitment chatbots, considered as an HR manager’s dream assistant, are
basically conversational interface platforms that perform the preliminary
recruitment process. These chatbots are powered with AI and natural
language processing capabilities which make them more disruptive and
powerful.
How chatbots are used in selection process.
Once a candidates apply on a company’s job site, chatbots can initiate a
conversation with them. While conversing with them, chatbots ask them
several questions, such as work experience, previous company details,
interest areas to name a few. Once the conversation is complete, chatbots
evaluate the candidate for the relevancy of the vacant position. Assessing
the job requirement, the conversation and resume details, the recruitment
chatbot can decide whether a candidate fits the open position or not.
