Purpose – To transform local soils into high

. Objective;

i. To mix chemical admixtures (polymer modified


cementitious agents in powder form) into local soils,
so as to bind the ‘fines’ into ‘granular’ within the soil
matrix, thereby improving and maintaining its strength;
even under long term soaking conditions.
ii. To compact the treated soil layer to form a solid
bound semi-rigid platform (150 - 400 mm thick),
‘floating’ above soft underlying soils even with SPT ‘N’
values = 0.

FWD TEST
FWD TEST STUDY

1) Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) testing was carried out


on flexible pavement or road located at Bukit Merah, Perak.
FWD test was conducted on 26 April 2016 between the
period of 1100 hours to 2200 hours.

2) This FWD testing was requested and witnessed by Federal


Malaysia Public Works Department (JKR). The purpose of
this assessment is to evaluate;
i. Deflection
ii. Modulus of each layer
iii. Remaining life

FWD TEST - Deflections
Deflection data tested at 50kN were analyzed and reported.
Deflection data were compared in terms of total pavement
deflections (D1.. value) where low deflection value means
stronger pavement structure.
