PREFACE

First of all, let us praise and thank to Almighty God, because by His grace I was able to
complete this Learning Implementation Plan to fulfill one of the assignments for the Micro
Teaching course taught by Maam Isli Iriani I. Pane, S.Pd., M.Hum.

I am fully aware that there are still mistakes in the Learning Implementation Plan that I
compiled. Therefore, I accept all suggestions and criticisms from readers so that I can improve it.

Good afternoon ma'am, good afternoon friends. Now I will explain about the
lesson plan that I have compiled. I chose the topics is about Greeting, namely
lessons for seventh grade, junior high school students, in semester 1 with Basic
Competencies 3.1 and 4.1.

Subject : English Time : 3x40 minutes
(Three time forty minutes) Meeting : 1

Learning Topics : Greeting

The core competencies of this topic are


Core Competencies

1. Appreciate and live the teachings of the religion he adheres to


2. Appreciate and live honest behavior, discipline, responsibility, care (tolerance, mutual
cooperation), polite, confident in interacting effectively with the social and natural
environment within the reach of the association and its existence.
3. Understand knowledge (factual, conceptual, and procedural) based on their curiosity
about science, technology, art and culture related to visible phenomena and events.
4. Trying, processing, and presenting in the concrete realm (using, parsing, assembling,
modifying, and creating) and abstract realms (writing, reading, counting, drawing, and
composing) in accordance with what is learned in school and other sources in the same
field point of view/theory.

Basic competencies

3.1. Understanding social functions, text structure, and linguistic elements in greeting, farewell,
thanking, and apologizing expressions and their responses, according to the context of their use.

Indicators:

• Identify the social function of greeting expressions, goodbyes, etc


• Identify the text structure of greetings, goodbyes, etc
• Applying linguistic elements related to greeting expressions, goodbyes, etc

4.1. Compose simple spoken texts to say and respond to greetings, farewells, thanks, and
apologies, taking into account social functions, text structures, and linguistic elements that are
correct and in context
Indicators:

• Conduct dialogues to say hello, goodbye, etc

but specifically for the lesson plan that I have compiled, this is only for
greeting topic

A. Learning Objectives

• Students identify the characteristics of greeting interactions, social functions, text


structures, and linguistic elements
• Students are skilled at using greetings in daily conversation

B. Learning Activities

Learning activities are divided into three stages, namely:


Introduction

• The teacher greets and invites students to pray together. (Religious)


• The teacher checks the attendance of students (via WhatsApp group, Zoom, Google
Classroom or other online media)
• The teacher conveys the objectives and benefits of learning about the topic to be taught
• The teacher conveys an outline of the scope of the material and the learning steps.

Core Activities

• Students are given motivation and guidance to view, observe, read and rewrite the
material taught and are given impressions and reading materials (via WhatsApp group,
Zoom, Google Classroom or other online media) related to Greeting materials. (literacy)
• The teacher gives the opportunity to identify as many things as possible that are not yet
understood related to the Greeting material.
• Students are given the opportunity to discuss, collect information, re-present and
exchange information about Greeting materials (via WhatsApp group, Zoom, Google
Classroom or other online media). (Collecting information and Problem solving)
• Students present their work and then respond to other students. (Communication)
• Teachers and students make conclusions about the things that have been learned related
to Greeting, and students are then given the opportunity to ask questions about things that
have not been understood. (Creativity)

Closing
• The teacher and students conduct an assessment or reflection on the activities that have
been carried out.
• The teacher gives assignments to students, both individual and group assignments
according to the students' learning outcomes.
• The teacher conveys the lesson plan at the next meeting and prays

D. Assessment

Assessment Instrument

Practice a short greeting dialogue before the class

E.g:      A: Hello, good morning

                B: Good morning.

                A; How are you?

                B: I’m fine thank you, and you?

                A: I’m fine too. Thank you.

Assessment Criteria
• Level of achievement of the social function of greeting
• The level of completeness and coherence of the structure of the greeting text
• The level of accuracy of linguistic elements: grammar, vocabulary, speech, word stress,
and intonation.

How to Assess

1) Showcase
- Role play in the form of greeting interactions
- Accuracy and suitability of using text structures and linguistic elements in greeting
expressions and responses
1) Observation

Assessment for the purpose of providing feedback. Assessment objectives:

- Efforts to use English to practice greeting conversations on various occasions.


- The seriousness of students in the learning process at each stage.
- Behavior of responsibility, caring, cooperation, and love of peace, in carrying out
communication

Assessment Rubric

The assessment rubric is divided into 3 parts, namely:


• Attitude Aspect
• Knowledge Aspect
• Behavioral Aspect
