Beliefs and emotions towards the games

Both respondents view desk-top games as something not addictive, and it is a behavior

they can quickly stop. However, they spend most of their free time playing games, which gives

them internal satisfaction. It keeps their mind engaged, killing the boredom; hence it is a leisure

activity. The games are challenging depending on the level set, which helps them to stay focused

while playing. Overcoming the challenge in each game gives them the satisfaction needed and

keeps their energy level high. The respondents are emotionally attached to the games, and they

play because they love them. The love makes them sentimental to the game, forcing them to

spend most of their time playing the game. They view the game as a source of entertainment.

Desktop games are fans once someone learns how they are played. The game gives them internal

satisfaction, and they spend most of their free time playing the game. The decision to play those

games is controlled by impulse and increases their commitment to the game.

Reasons behind what they think.

Some games such as buffalo change an individual's attitude, and one starts stereotyping

career based on ethnicity and gender. The games make the players view women in a different

way as minorities who hold non-traditional positions. The players do not realize it at the time,

but later it happens. Another is gaming makes them lower their moral standards. An example is a

card against humanity, which is also referred to as Apples to Apples. It is a game played only by

adults and probably those who consume alcohol. The game is exciting but triggers a negative

behavior. These games are played indoors and are slowly turning the two respondents into

introverts. Most of their free time playing games makes them miss social functions and relate

with their colleagues. There are addicted to playing the games since it is a daily basis habit.
