Failure description:
921E lift cylinders drift down (hydraulic fluid bypasses the piston seal). The lift cylinder piston seal
(part number 87399594) can dislodge, allowing fluid leakage and causing the loader frame to drift
down at rates higher than specified

Action required:
Replace the current piston on both lift cylinders with the new one P/N 84233644 & related seal
package , all included into the campaign kit p/n CMCEW0110A
Note: one kit covers one machine. It includes two pistons and related seal packages.

Identify all units that are the responsibility of your Dealership and that are involved in this Campaign
action. This must include any new units that are in transit and yet to be delivered to your Dealership.
Also any stock units that are within the responsibility of your Dealership.
If any known unit involved in this Campaign has moved into your Dealerships area of responsibility,
please contact the customer and carry out the rework action detailed.
If any known unit involved has been sold on, or exported and is now not in your area of responsibility,
please advise your Case Area Service Manager with the details of the unit and its new location (if
known).

Refer to the Campaign Information Option on ASIST for the list of units involved.
Tick the “Reworked” box on the Campaign Information Option on ASIST when the rework action has
been completed.

Not all units in these serial number ranges will require rework action under this Campaign, due to
either; reworked prior to shipment, previously reworked or the build option.
Only the units in the serial number ranges above that are detailed on the Campaign Information
Option on ASIST require rework action.
No other units are permitted.
Refer to the Campaign Information Option on ASIST for the list of units involved.

Parts involved:
Order and install the lift cylinders upgrade Campaign kit CMCEW0110 - qty 1(It contains the new piston
p/n 84233644 - qty 2 and the related seal package).

Labour allowance:
Seven (7.0) hours at dealer’s recorded labour rate will be allowed for this upgrade.

Travel allowance:
One and half hour (1.5 hours) will be allowed to perform the action required on unit already delivered
to the Customer or in the field at the intervention time.

Outside amount:
No.
