IV. PROCEDURES

A. Introduction
Looking around the world we live, there are many
instances where fractions are at work in our daily lives. We see
stores that allow us to take 30% off the regular price on a sale
item; every time you look at a clock and used in baking to tell
how much of an ingredient to use. Just the name a few
examples of fraction at work.

In this lesson, we will deal with the simple operations


of fractions. Our discussion will focus on adding and subtracting
simple fractions with or without regrouping. You will also learn
to solve routine or non – routine problems involving addition and
subtraction of fractions. At the end of this lesson students are
expected to add and subtract simple fraction accurately.

To complete this lesson, you are required to take one


short quiz and participate to the forum discussion.
