Indang municipality largely depends on agriculture wherein 80% or 7,176 hectares of its fertile
land area is primarily devoted to agriculture wherein various crops like coconut, banana, coffee, fruit
trees, pineapple, root crops and vegetable are prominent.

In reference to the DepEd Memorandum No223,s2016 “Strengthening the Implementation of

Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP) in all Public Elementary and Secondary Schools Nationwide” which
mandates the GPP advocacy campaign or the vigorous promotion of food security through self-help food
production activities and values among learners and stakeholders and appreciation & practice of
Agriculture as a life support system in our community, as well the we are facing challenges brought by
the COVID-19 pandemic, we are restoring the Gulayan sa Paaralan in Indang National High School -East
Extension for the SY 2021-2022.

II. Objectives

 To implement activities for food production, availability and accessibility.

 To share harvested vegetables to less fortunate student families.
 To provide teachers & stakeholders with activities supporting their mental-physical
wellness.

III. Project Design

Project RGP aims to implement activities for food production, availability and
Accessibility by primarily requesting assistance to our Provincial and Municipal Agriculture
departments since the Department of Agriculture launched the ALPAS COVID-19 to ease the
threat of hunger in our country last 2020.
Project RGP aims to strengthen the relationship of INHS to stakeholders particularly the
parents or the students and especially those families belonging to the 4Ps.
Project RGP encourages and supports teacher & stakeholders well-being by ensuring the
farming activities will relieve stress and promote mental-physical wellness.
Project RGP vegetable produce will benefit the less fortunate student families of Indang.
