For the information and guidance of all concerned, the Department of

Highlight of Education ( DepEd) issues the enclosed Policy and Guidelines for Comprehensive
Accomplishment:
Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene in schools ( WinS) Program for the promotion of
correct hygiene and sanitation practices among school children and a clean
environment in and around schools to keep learners safe and healthy.
In response to that, FRANCISCO OSORIO INTEGRATED SENIOR HIGH
SCHOOL with the help of the clinic teacher, Head Teachers and Principal
monitored the washing and tooth brushing facilities and even different pits
needed. Due to pandemic those facilities were not utilized but the school kept
and maintain for future use of learners.
The school, together with our stakeholders plan to provide more hand
washing and tooth brushing facilities when things come to normal.
Program
Objectives The program aims to:

A. ensure correct knowledge and understanding among learners of effective hygiene

and sanitation projects

b. improve equitable access to safe water, adequate toilets, and hand washing
facilities

c. ensure that schools are kept clean and safe environment

d. improve hygiene and sanitation practices among learners

The program is ongoing and still in the process due to pandemic
