The Norluzonian, official student publication of the University of Cagayan Valley (UCV) writes
this letter of recommendation to your good office for Dr. John Mauro Q. Manuel, the newly
appointed Director for Office of Community Extension and Services (OCES) to be the adviser of
the Norluzonian for the Academic year 2021-2022.
Mr. Eric P. Tamang already confirmed to leave the position as the adviser of the Norluzonian.
With this, the Editorial Board and Staff had decided to tap Dr. John Mauro Q. Manuel to
recommend as the next adviser. He is well known in the field of journalism as he became
winning coaches of the previous schools he attended.
Hence, as written in publications’ Code of Ethics and Editorial’s Policies (CEEP), the University
President has the power to approve the recommendation letter of the Editorial Board and Staff in
choosing adviser of the organization.
The body do believe that with the qualifications, expertise, experiences, and knowledge of Dr.
Manuel will surely help the organization to be better and productive not only for this academic
year but for whole duration of his stay as the adviser for the present and future members of the
Norluzonian.
