Experience of an Online Semester at EWU 

Introduction:

Thesis statement: Online semester saves my time and money but also it lacks the learning capability.
Topic Sentence 1: Firstly, I have not learned just as much from online semester as I would have from
offline semester because there is less actual interactions with the instructors and the classmates
compare to an offline semester.

S.P. 1: Less Learning capability

S.P. 2: Less interection with instructors.
S.P. 3: Less interection with classmates.

Topic Sentence 2: In my experience with online classes, it saves time and is more comfortable to attend
class from home.

Topic Sentence 3: Finally, Online semester also reduced the financial cost because you don’t have to
travel and no need of meal outside and also got 20% waiver due to pandemic.

Concluding Remark: As well as I like the online semester, I also kind of hate the system.

Experience of an Online Semester at EWU 

I am a student of East West University.  Due to corona pandemic, we have to attend online semester.
My online semester are both convenience and inconvenience to me. It concludes online activities like
classes, class test, exam, viva, lab, e.t.c.  Online semester saves my time and money but also it lacks the
learning capability.

Firstly, I have not learned just as much from online semester as I would have from offline semester
because there is less actual interactions with the instructors and the classmates compare to an offline
semester. Being physically in a classroom, I have more classmates to ask for help. In class, I can ask the
teacher for help as many times as I need and there’s a higher possibility that I will understand the topic.
Sometimes due to internet issues, I can’t attend to online classes or exam. 
In my experience with online classes, it saves time and is more comfortable to attend class from home. It
would take more than 90 minutes to travel to my university, East West University from Narayanganj and
that is only one way. That extra times makes a big difference. I can spend those extra times in other
works. The travel time alone is enough for me to complete my assignment. It also feels more
comfortable to attend online classes from home because you don’t have to wake up at 6:00 a.m to
attend 8:30 a.m classes. 
Finally, Online semester also reduced the financial cost because you don’t have to travel and no need of
meal outside and also got 20% waiver due to pandemic. During the pandemic, I suffer a lot from
financial condition. As East West University offers waiver, I can attend the online semester. Online
semester also reduced my travelling cost. In offline classes, I needed to spend 500tk per day for travel
and meals. But in online classes I can just attend classes with that much cost. 
 
Online semester has been kind of positive to me because it saves my money and time. But It also
reduces our learning limit.  As well as I like the online semester, I also kind of hate the system.
