Write no less than 350 words on the topic below: Today more people are overweight than ever

before. Some believe it is the government’s responsibility to tackle this situation, while others
argue for individual self-care. Discuss both views and give your own opinions.

It is widely acknowleged that a dietary eating method and, as a whole, a good health is of the
utmost importance for the well-being of our physical development. Nowadays, however, a great
deal of person are prone to overweight, becoming a major concern for the whole society. To
potentially sooth this issue, the government is expected to be auspicious in taking charge of it,
while some people hold the belief that we ourselves should be responsible for our own health.
This essay below will discuss both sides of the aforementioned statement as well as voicing my
individual perspectives.

On the one hand, given the fact that fast food now plays an inevitable part in our eating habit due
to its omnipresence and convenience, more and more people have consequently set a habit of
consuming it on a regular basis, thus posing a threat not only to health conditions, but also to an
entire community. To alleviate such issue, the government is encouraged to pay higher taxes on
fast food for the purpose of preventing consumers from buying it, which presumably deminishes
the rate of junk food utilization. Furthermore, a reduction in fast food should be paralled with the
enhancement in the use of clean and healthy counterpart. It means that government should take
responsibility for making it more affordable and ubiquitous, along with a variety in quantity to
meet multitudinous demands made by people. On top of that, an upsurge in the manufacture of
fast food without any restriction is another factor contributing to the verge of overweight. An
undisciplined food process should be prohibited straightaway, and instead, food inspection
authorities should be brought forward in every country, with a complete supervision on the food
chain before trading in the outside world to stop any illegal practices that can do harm to the
social well-beings. All in all, proposing an appropriate manner to tackle this dilemma in a long
run is projected to be the accountability of the government.

On the other hand, however, we cannot deny the fact that personal efforts play the most crucial
part in improving our health, let alone staying away from overweightness. To say the least, our
regular eating habit will have a bearing on the health status. If we cannot keep control of the
amount of food we consume everyday, a great deal of dangers related to health would inflict on
ourselves, causing a lot of uncurable diseases. As a result, it is time for us to change our mindset,
by which we should eat everything in moderation and scientifically.Trying to cut down on sugar-
high kinds of food is thought to be the most effective way, followed by a healthy lifestyle.
Moreover, a constant workup is vehemently encouraged for the sake of fat emulsification and
physical fitness. Meanwhile, we should take in into consideration that despite a diminution in
food consumption, we should not cut off all essential supplements that are principital for our life.

In conclusion, as obesity is now becoming more and more sophisticated, it is high time that
government and individuality should cooperate together to stop it as soon as possible, but among
them, the role of each person, from my own pespesctive, has a propensity for outweighing that of
government.
