REPORT assignment 15 marks
This assignment is to enable the students for critical thinking about how the
entire operations work from procurement to Distribution of the end product or
the delivery of the service to the end customer.
This is a group presentation of four in a team where each student should submit
a report with a sketch of the layout of the service or production operations
layout on the sub topic they have chosen for the group presentation.
The group can choose any manufacturing or service business organization
which involves the production or service operations and to present on the entire
aspects of operations from supply chain, inventory, warehouse, procurement,
technology and the strategies implied for its effective functioning(this can be
aligned with any specific product or any specific service category they choose.
For.e.g. manufacturing of fire fighting equipment’s to the service delivery of
Dominos’, Amazon or McDonald’s restaurants.
The Report should consist of the illustration of the Plant / Service Layout (mini
layout) along with the Service/ Product Design/ Inventory models sketches.
