NARRATIVE REPORT ON BAYANIHAN SA PAARALAN

Bayanihan Para sa Paaralan (Working Together for Schools)", added a new meaning to
the Filipino concept of unity. From the image of barrio men bearing together the weight of a
bahay kubo (nipa hut) on their shoulders to the image of volunteers braving storms and floods
to help calamity-stricken communities, Bayanihan brings to us a picture of people from
different sectors of society repainting walls and blackboards, cleaning windows and doors, or
repairing fences.

During the entire activity there were no problems encountered. Though volunteers
quite tired yet they were enjoyed and not hesitant to do the necessary needs of the school as it
was for the good of the school and for the learners.
It shows that volunteerism is still abundant in our country, and that there are a lot of
people who are willing to cooperate with the government’s worthwhile endeavors.

Just as pupils love to be involved in kinesthetic, hands-on learning, teachers also find the
first ever “Sports Fest Bring Us Together”, a team building activity-cum Teacher’s Day
Celebration of the Jose Panganiban Elementary School happened last September 26, 2019.

Teachers of all ages, including the ever-active school head Sir Gilbert Q. Galano,
participated and bonded together as part of the historical activity. Everyone was game, with all

the props and costume preparations, all five groups prepared their cheer dance presentations
joyfully and gracefully. All are surprised seeing and watching each and every one performs their
surprised numbers. Team Katinko Greens, Pink Lozartans, Green Tigerbams, and Yellow
Tolakangins were seen laughing, cheering, enjoying, and having fun in all the games and
activities prepared by the GPTA President Mr. Hernando T. Ybarola III and SPG President
Brandon H. Secillano.

Teachers started recognizing each other’s strengths, and weaknesses turned into having
so much fun and laughter. This resulted to having holistic and active lifestyles and practice the
art of winning, losing, and teamwork and good camaraderie that they can apply to their
professional lives from then on.
