ADVISORY FOR CANDIDATE REGARDING COVID-19

Indian Navy will implement Social Distancing measures as per Government of


India guidelines in current scenario of COVID-19 to ensure health & safety of the
candidates. Adequate measures are implemented for safety of all without
compromising the high standards, sanctity, and fairness in conduct of the Written
Examination and Physical Fitness Test (PFT). Candidates are also required to
adhere to guidelines and new process for social distancing and hygiene to ensure
safety and health of their own and fellow candidates.

1. COVID-19 protocol advisory to be followed by candidates during Written


Examination and Physical Fitness Test are as follows:-

(a) All candidates are compulsorily to carry COVID-19 negative certificate


(issued by State/District Medical Authorities) not more than 96 hours old before
reporting at PFT Centre.

(b) Self-Declaration form to be filled by all candidates on reporting at the


exam centre.

2. Travel Advisory. Follow the simple public health precautions at all times:-

Do's
(a) Due to COVID-19 restrictions, candidate is to come to examination
centre alone. No other person or relative is to be present near the venue.

(b) Maintain personal hygiene and physical distancing of one meter from
others.

(c) Practice frequent hand washing with soap and water, particularly after
touching frequently touched surfaces. Carry hand sanitisers.

(d) Cover nose and mouth with handkerchief/ tissue while sneezing and
coughing or to sneeze in the inner side of your elbow and not to cough into
the palms of hands. Throw used tissues into closed bins immediately after
use.

(e) Use Face Mask when out in public. Wearing of Face Mask is
compulsory at all time during travel.

(f) Maintain a safe distance (One meter) from persons during interaction,
especially with those having flu-like symptoms. Minimise contact with other
travellers.

(g) Check for respiratory symptoms. If unwell (fever, difficulty in breathing


and coughing), visit nearest civil medical facility.

(h) Carry adequate packed food including fruits and water for the duration
of the journey. Minimise use of public toilets/ urinals.

(j) If using waiting room during travel, then sanitise the armrest and seat
using sanitizer and tissue.

Don'ts
(a) Shake hands.

(b) Have a close contact with anyone, if experiencing cough and fever.

(c) Touch eyes, nose and mouth.

(d) Sneeze or cough into palms of hands.

(e) Spit in public.

(f) Travel unnecessarily during 14 days of onset of travel to PFT Centre,


particularly to any affected region.

(g) Participate in large gatherings during 14 days of onset of travel to PFT


Centre, including sitting in groups at canteens.

(h) Visit gymnasium, clubs and crowded places such as shopping malls,
festivals, etc during 14 days of onset of travel to PFT Centre.

Note:- The health and wellbeing of our community is our first priority, therefore the
centre reserve the right to deny entry to its premises.
